Hot and unhelpful

The hotel was OK. The check in was terrible, the desk attendant was not helpful. It was Valentine’s Day and I asked for wine glasses, or at least glasses in general and was told none were available. When I left, I exited toward the “breakfast” area. There were wine glasses in the area, so I grabbed them from there. The room did not have a thermostat, only a switch for the heater. We cooked our bits off, turned it off, froze, turned it on cooked etc. not going back.

Freezing Cold

Bring extra blankets. They only have a fire place heater and it took @6 hours to warm the room. I absolutely froze my tail off!!!!!!! I couldn’t believe not a standard heater being winter and on the ocean front.

This was my second stay at Fogcatcher Inn. You can’t beat the location, centrally located on the drive, with restaurants in walking distance and just steps from the beach.

Quick getaway

Last minute trip planned and found FogCatcher Inn to be available and booked it. We were pleased with the room and had a fire place and was good because it was a cold night and cold morning. Overall pleased with the stay and with FogCatcher Inn.

What a gift it was to stay at the Fogcatcher Inn! Truly a magical place, that we cannot wait to come back to :) Tyler at the front desk was beyond helpful checking in. The room had an absolute knock out view of the ocean, and was so cozy. The scenery at Boardwalk trail of moonstone beach was dreamy. The hot tub and pool was PERFECT. Cambria is such a cute little area, and super close to Hearst Castle. We are making Fogcatcher an annual tradition ♥️

I was told I had to go online in order to get the good rate I saw. By doing so, I saved $40. The room cleaning started at 8 am with the cleaning cart rolling down the brick sidewalk VERY LOUDLY. I used to come regularly years ago with my husband, and I thought it would be nice to come back and re-live some of those memories. He recently passed away. I won't do that again. So sad to see how a different owner lets things go.

Comfortable bed. Inn is next to the beach, peaceful and relaxing. It’s quiet and safe area. The bathroom door lock was not working. Otherwise, it’s a great place to spend the night.
