Good hotel let down by poor restaurant
The hotel building itself was fine. Our room was quite spacious with a queen size bed. There were no power points by the bed side tables but the hotel did give us an electrical extension chord on request. What lets this hotel down is the Mayfair Grill & Bar. On our first night after eating out we thought we would stop in for a desert. The staff looked at us like we were from outer space requesting such a thing. On the following morning we had breakfast buffet. I’m Gluten Free - there was GF cereal but no bread. When I asked for bread I was told no GF bread today, no apology, no explanation. On the second day same story, although after complaining I was brought some GF croissants. I overheard other diners asking for coffee with the reply “coffee machine’s over there”. However if you wanted tea they had to bring this to you. At £25 per head for the buffet I think the service was poor. We also stayed at The Rembrandt in South Kensington where, the rooms are smaller, the hotel is older, but the service and offering is so much better.

What a gem! We lucked into this property by chance - it was one of the few in our price range that offered two beds (twin size). We got incredible value - the hotel was beautiful and well appointed, staff was incredible, and the location just off Piccadilly/soho cant be beat. We were limited from transportation, coffee, and just steps from Fortnum and mason for the tea supplies. No mini fridge and small room, but we barely spent time there. We tried the hotel breakfast our last morning but found it only okay and overpriced, especially given the abundance of other options nearby. The concierge staff was wonderful. Would definitely return!

Generally ok, but experienceceas let down by lack of vegetarian options in buffet breakfast (when we specifically asked if there would be). Apparently they thought mushrooms & beans is good enough. Need to expand their horizons!

Our room on the 8th floor was spacious and well equipped. You could see from our window a Gormley sculpture, the London Eye, the Shard, the Post office tower. Unfortunately there seems to be building work going on during the night in neighbouring buildings.

The hotel was very nice and good location walking distance to picadilly circus, covent gardens and west end. Rooms were nice and clean. Didnt like the bathtub shower as tub was very high. Room sizes are vastly different and that should be disclosed when choosing room. Friends i was with had a tiny room where they needed to leave a suicase in my room. My room across the hall eas double the size, yet we paid the same amount. This should be disclosed when booking the footage of the room.

The location is fantastic. A short walk off the busy Picadilly Circus area. Everything was very walkable. However, if you stay in a classic , pack a white oise machine. The noise from cars hitting the sewer grate on the one street will keep you awake most nights. We were moved to the other side facing another street that had an apparent night club near by. The noise of party goers on Friday through to Sunday was very loud. Upgraded rooms do not face either street so beware

pleasant surprise in center of London
This hotel does not stand out and does not have great views, but Very clean hotel, always friendly professional service at the front desk, bell boy and at the restaurant. Large room for European standards. Comfortable bed. Modern bathroom (sink, shower, bathtub all appear to be new). Location is a bit out of the way and the front door is barely visible on the street, but as soon as we stepped into the small lobby we were pleasantly surprised with the modern tasteful style. We did not have breakfast included, so only ate breakfast at the hotel once- it was good- standard British buffet spread. There is restaurant directly across the street where we had breakfast and dinner once each- I would recommend this place- food was great quality and service superb. The street is lined up with men's fashion boutique stores- very unique. The tube is about 5-10 min walk - Green park station where you can hop on 3 lines (piccadilli, Victoria and Jubilee)- very convenient- really you can go in any direction from this station, and Circle line is just one stop over from the Green park station. Overall great stay in the center of London- walking distance to Buckingham palace, Piccadilli circle, but a bit away from bustle and hustle. Definitely recommend for location and cleanliness and great customer service
