Coco and Anna are very professional and ready to help you for everything you need . They are conversant in English as well and that helps a lot for non Spanish travellers . Though I wish I knew spanish !! . They even kept secure one of my personal item that I have forgotten in the room during checkout . Overall it’s a good and very safe place for the price !!!

Easily the most comfortable I have ever been in a hostel. The owner and his wife were very welcoming and helpful in deciding my plans for each day. The room looked just like the photos on the website. The bed was comfortable and made each day. The showers were hot and had good pressure with towels provided each day. The property owner allowed me to store my bags when I went on the Salkantay Trek free of charge. Adding a night was simple. I felt extremely safe in the hostel as there was a gate and the owner or his wife would let me into the property at all hours of the day. I truly can’t say how enjoyable and comfortable I was staying here.

Excellent stay in centre of Cusco
I had an excellent stay. The couple running this hotel are lovely and ensure that guests have a pleasant stay. They cook breakfast every morning and will happily assist if you need a help with anything. The location is great as it's just few minutes walk from the centre of Cusco. The room is cleaned everyday and the shower has hot water and good pressure which is not the case in all hotels. Really recommend staying here.

Coco is a great host. Breakfast is very good and included with a very reasonable room rate. Location is within walking distance to downtown with a few restaurants close by. Coco speaks English and is very helpful with information about Cusco. We'd highly recommend this hotel for your stay!

Great hotel in Cusco!
We had a great stay here at El Tuco - one night before and two nights after our Machu Picchu trip. Rooms are clean. The gate to the street is always locked, which made us feel very safe. Owner Coco is really fun to talk to, and gave us solid suggestions on where to go. The earlier check-in time is definitely a plus, which helped with our morning flight arrival. You do need to check out earlier as well, but that shouldn’t be any problem since most take the train to Machu Picchu pretty early too. Overall, really recommend this place!

We stayed 2 nights, went for a trekking for 4 nights and returned to El Tuco to spend 2 more nights. The Hosters Coco and Anna were amazing in making sure that our luggage were safe and that we had all the information needed to start our adventure, including really good advices on how to manage altitute sickness. No stress about Money or check out times, which is so rare!! I recommend El Tuco without reservation and I would repeat the experience again. Thank you for all the support provided and for making us feel at home :)

We could not have chosen a best place to stay in Cusco. El Tuco Hotel is very well located, clean and really made us feel at home with such warmful environment. The Hosters Coco and Anna are amazing and gave us lots of useful advices to make our travel even more rich. The breakfast is homemade, fresh and really tasty. El Tuco is in a great location. It compromises between being at the Plaza de Armes and main station for the train to Machu Picchu, so both are within walkinng distance. Also very near to several grocery stores. The security is good with a front gate that only the manager has the key to so he must always let you in or out. He was very accommodating to our early morning tour departures, waking up before sunrise to let us out both times. We really enjoyed our stay.

Basic hostel with obliging and knowledgeable hosts. Good price, so you would have a cheek to complain. My room was cold, an extra blanket helped. I liked the location, you can walk through the amazing local market on the way to the Plaza de Armas.

Best stay in Peru
The best place I stayed at during my trip to Peru. The room was basic but all I needed, what made the biggest difference is Coco and his team. He takes time to meet his guests, creates an atmosphere where it’s easy to meet other travelers and share stories. I met a few people I’d like to stay in touch with. He also goes far and beyond to accommodate needs like arrange my laundry service the same day. Also, an ability to use his kitchen was key for me. Thank you Coco, you and your family and team are amazing hosts!!

Great and secure location. Coco the host was so wonderful and helpful!! He and his wife were so accommodating. Allowed us to check in early, as soon as the room was ready which was a godsend since we got no sleep on an overnight bus to Cusco. My partner was unwell and they were very helpful with allowing us to stay an extra day until he felt better. Asked us exactly what time we would like breakfast each morning and were there to greet us and cook us fresh scrambled eggs or pancakes, whichever we preferred! He was lovely to talk to, gave us some great tips about the area and about traveling to Machu Picchu. Laundry was back same day, clean and dried. The bed was really comfortable. Shower took some time to get warm but when it did come through it was hot.
