Fresh paint and newer laminate wood floors. It is very basic, with no extras. But great value for the price. Good for a one night travelling stay.

Gross, smelled of smoke, hair throughout the bath
I feel for the price it ia hard to complain but I feel compelled to. I didn't expect it to be nice but I did expect it to be clean. There was hair in the bath tub, stuck to the inside of the shower curtain, etc. The room smelled like smoke, and the box springs look simply gross. I was sontired from the trip that I just dealt with it but they should really do a much better job cleaning. I was also told approximately four times that the room was non smoking, but clearly that only applies to us (non smokers anyhow) because it was like sleeping in a dirty ashtray. With that being said, the staff were really friendly. I imagine this is a case of the ownership/management not spending any money on the facilitiesir paying their staff a decent wage. Definitely a hard skip, keep on going to the next place and spend the extra money if you don't want the heebie jeebies.

This place is clean. That is the best that can be said about it. My room had mismatched furniture that was badly dinged and missing some pieces. The decor is somewhere between half way house and dorm room. The hotel overlooks a truck stop. They didn’t even bother to put a picture on the wall. They don’t supply shampoo which I didn’t discover until I was in the shower. When I mentioned that to the clerk later he told me I can buy shampoo from the vending machine in the lobby for a dollar. But the room was clean and I didn’t get bed bugs.

The hotel was average or a little bit above average for a motel 6. No breakfast. And, at 6:00 a.m., someone's allowed alarm went off, and stayed on for an hour and 15 minutes. Nobody else seemed to notice that.

I doubt that I would choose Motel 6 again. It started out pouring down rain and I pulled up to the door to the office went to the after hours window and the clerk asked me why parked like that making me feel like an idiot, then went to the room which we requested a smoke free room, we walked in an realized right away it wasn't smoke free. The next morning I saw a sticker on the door about a discount of 10% for AARP so I asked the morning clerk about it and she couldn't do anything for me, the last thing we were packing the car by the rear door to leave and the people were having a gathering of friends and family and 1 of them wasn't using family friendly language. We checked out early an drove to our next hotel in Chicago at a choice mainstay, much better experience.

Tracy who worked at the front desk has been absolutely amazing throughout my whole stay. I arrived on my day of check in a little early and she was more than gracious enough to allow me to get to my room to rest. Not only that I got held up at work working pass check out and instead of me paying for another night she was was more than happy to get housekeeping to get my belongings together to leave at the front desk for when I return. The rooms were very clean as well as the bedding. I have to say I have zero complaints and will be returning!

The check in went well. It was clean in the room and had good supplies other than shampoo. The area outside was not the greatest, but we were safe. It is good for just a night of rest at a lower price.
