The common areas of the property were amazing. The room needed updating and the bathroom was straight up dirty and the tub was chipping and moldy. We did not want to shower there.

There is an emphasis on history and service at this property which makes one feel as though she has stepped back in time. The lobby and ground floor are beautiful with wood and marble everywhere. We elected for a premier room which was spacious and comfortable. The indoor pool is lovely and relaxing. For less than the cost of a chain hotel, this stay has exceeded my expectations.

The Read House is an elegant, historical Hotel in the Downtown district of Chatanooga. The ambiance and appointments were beautiful, the rooms comfortable, and service was quick and attentive. The location was perfect for walking and taking the shuttle around the area.

Only issue we had was something in the valet garage that was very sticky spilled all over our car. We just got a detail and it ruined it. Valet tried to help but just made it worse
