Amazing mountain retreat/ Relax on the only beach on the mountain / 420 friendly

We know vacations have changed. We'll make sure you're getaway to Johnny lo's 2 is one of the best vacations you and your family will ever have. We love answering any questions you might have when it comes to stuff around the area such as shopping, hiking trails, fishing, rafting, micro-brewing, rmnp, or just cool places to chill. We have horseshoes, rock painting, telescope, floating rafts. And don't forget mother nature. There is always different animals either hanging on the property or walking through, especially in the morning. Just raise your window blinds when you're waking up. You'll have a 50 % chance of seeing something grazing on our front yard.

My one advice to you, is make sure you get all the stuff you need before coming to our home. Because once you get here, you won't want to leave! Come be part of our extended family. Estes Park is the reason why I live in Colorado. It truly is Gods country.

Our three-bedroom, two-bath mountain retreat is the perfect way, to explore the perfect town. Located in Drake and nestled on two acres with panoramic views of Bobcat Ridge and the Rocky Mountain National Park, we are just 12 miles from the center of Estes Park. Johnny Lo’s 2 has something that no other house on the mountain has, and that’s your own private beach. We brought up almost seven tons of sand while we were creating. We recently added a small pool were five adults can relax in comfortably. Our beach is equipped with misters to cool you down when it’s time to "flip over”. There’s five chaise lounge chairs and plenty of space for the kids to play with their toys. So if the guys want to do a little fishing or biking, and the ladies just want to relax and catch up with each other, we’ll know where everybody is. And everybody will be happy!
Our mountain retreat is marijuana friendly and very private. We know you work hard, we want you to play just as hard when you’re lucky enough to get away with friends and loved ones. Don't be afraid to ask me questions.

Right next to our beach, we have our BBQ grill area to cook your ultimate steak. And for relaxing at night, we have a fire-pit equipped with a healthy stack of wood. For all you “starry-eyed” folks, there is a telescope to view our amazing “galaxy”. We just ask you to use caution when using the telescope. If you head out the back door, there is a shaded deck with a comfortable sofa, patio table, and four matching cushioned chairs.
Inside, the kitchen has everything you need to create your mountain masterpiece. It’s equipped with all stainless steel appliances. The living room is real comfy. There are two sofa’s, one a futon if you have an extra guest crash out unexpectedly. There is a 55” tv with Netflix, old school monster stereo set up (we also have Bluetooth), a rocking chair with rocking ottoman, and a gas fire stove for those chilly nights.
The bedrooms all have new queen mattresses, linens, and blankets. The guest bedroom has two queens while the other two bedrooms have a queen size bed in each of them.
Bathrooms are sunny and clean. One has a large walk in shower while the other is a normal tub / shower set up.
Hiking trials, fishing, and Jeep / 4-wheel drive areas, are all close by.

Bring the dogs! We have a $50.00 fee and a $50.00 deposit, per dog, per stay. When you get to our home, you put the money in the "dog me" jar on top of the refrigerator. When you leave, if your dog is good, you take $50.00 back. If your dog is bad, you what to do.

There are plenty of birds, butterflies, and wild flowers on our property if you just want to sit outside and be amazed at mother nature. We even have a little nature trial in the back of our property.

While our Estes Park getaway, Johnny Lo's 2 is going on its seventh year, this will mark our 10th year in the business of helping our guests bring home memories that will last them a life time. Two years ago we closed the doors on our hugely successful bed and breakfast located in the historic art district of downtown Denver. We had eight great years with unbelievable guests. Our third rental property, located in Ft. Myers Beach, was ruined by Hurricane Ian last October, and we longer have our beautiful home to share with our guests. It broke our heart. We were going on our forth year there, and were already booked Christmas to Easter. But we are strong! So not to keep us down, we are opening our newest home to you and yours, in the summer of 2023. Starting on Memorial Day weekend, May 2024, we will be opening our fourth, and newest property to rent called Johnny Lo's Garage! Our second property in Estes Park, which is only one mile from Johnny Lo's 2, is situated on five beautiful acres, and is brand new with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
One of the unique things about Johnny Lo's Garage is that we will be offering our guests, half day micro-brew tours in one of our three classic cars form the 1960's! So if you need two houses for your getaway, book both of these beautiful properties, and everybody will be happy.

Notes:
1. Please print out directions ahead of time to our mountain
getaway.
2. It would be best to rent a four-wheel drive vehicle during the winter and
early spring.
3. If flying in into DIA, we recommend you take I-25 north to Loveland, then
take Hwy. 34 west to Drake. After you go through Loveland, you will go through the Big Thompson Canyon, which is one of the prettiest stretch of roads you’ll ever drive on. Note to the driver, please keep at least one eye on the road.
4. Before you get to the canyon, stop in Loveland at one of the three supermarkets and load up on food.
5. There are also a number of liquor stores in Loveland to grab some coldness.
5. If you’re hungry for something quick, in Loveland there’s Freddy’s for a great burger, and Arte for the best New York style pizza in Colorado. There are a few micro-breweries in Loveland if you need your thirst quenched as well.

Our trip was interrupted by some inclement weather. However, John went above and beyond to ensure both our safety and getting our belongings back. He was incredibly helpful throughout every step of the process and gave us tons of ideas for activities in the area. You will be hard pressed to find a better host on this platform. We will most definitely return!

Amazing Hosts, Relaxing Atmosphere
Absolutely loved staying at Johnny Lo’s 2. Johnny was AMAZING at communication, the lot provided plenty of room for our dogs to explore freely, and it was so quiet and peaceful at night. Even though the drive to Estes Park took a bit, we never minded because the views are gorgeous. Though there was the rabbit who tried to play chicken with our car (rabbit won, had to get out and shoo it away). Highly recommend staying here- our best VRBO experience ever!

Johnny Lo's Mountain Home
This is our first visit to Drake, CO. The property was spacious for six adults and pets. The yard is huge and the mountain view is beautiful. Our host, Johnny, couldn't have been better. He was attentive, accessible, and is an all around cool guy. The house was well furnished. We hope to someday make it back again!

Our family (husband, 13 yr old Son and 2 dogs) had the best time on our weeks vacation using this property as our base camp. The home was very clean and had all the items needed! We enjoyed relaxing on the back porch at night after hiking and exploring. Johnny was the absolute best, 100% responsive and super knowledgeable! Will be back again!

Beautiful views
We stayed ed in Jonny’s home for 7 days in early August. The views from his property are perfect. He definitely wins the best vrbo host we have ever had hands down. He was very detailed in all of his information. Communication was daily to check in with us and give us ideas of things to do. Property was very clean and well maintained. Bonus it was the best stocked with supplies property we have ever stayed in as well. We had a wonderful week and made lots of great memories at his home. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Comfortable and tranquil
This home made a terrific home base for attending wedding activities in Estes Park and Lovrland, Rocky Mountain National Park, and other activities like white water rafting. The home was well stocked with all the basics. Our host made sure we were comfortable. Memories of sitting out with morning coffee, and later watching evenings transition to starry nights is what I'll take home with me.

John was amazing! He gave us lots and lots of info about the area and text us during the time we were there to check and make sure we were having a good time. Very informative. There were 6 of us at the house and it was very comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of cookware, dishes and plenty of spices to cook with. We really enjoyed sitting around the firepit in the evenings and watching wildlife. If we ever make it to Estes Park again, we will definitely stay there again.

Host with the Most!
Johnny Lo was the best host we've ever had, and we had an amazing time at his property! We had our dogs with us for a family trip, and the experience this spacious property and location provided was unlike any other trip we've taken! We made camp fires while we cooked smores on the property, we hiked the Palisade Mountain hike just a few miles down the road (amazing but very challenging hike), and we sipped our coffee while the hummingbirds entertained us on the back porch! We look forward to staying with Johnny again for our next Colorado trip!!

Fabulous host and home
We had a fabulous stay at Johnny Lo’s! He was so great at communicating and left us a welcome gift. The house is up in the mountains between Loveland and Estes. Took about 30 min to get to either but the drive and views can’t be beat! We enjoyed sitting outside at his ‘beach’ in the evenings and taking in the quiet of nature. We would highly recommend Johnny Lo’s for your stay!

Great place to stay in the mountains.
This was a nice "cabin like" stay in a very peaceful and beautiful mountain location. We could not burn a real fire in the pit while there due to burn band but did use the propane fire pit in the evening while star gazing. We didn't spend a lot of time at the home because we were traveled through the national park during the day but morning coffee outside watching the birds, turkeys and deer was pretty cool and having a cocktail at night while star gazing was very relaxing. Johnny was a great host! He answered all of our questions and was there when we arrived to give us a tour (by request).
