This is a 1950-60 ish motel located along a busy secondary road in a remote area. Modern motels have a sort of free breakfast. The Earl had none. The lavatory and bath were installed by someone who didn't know how to adjust them. I had to yank the faucet to get any water. I had to forcibly yank the water control in the shower for my wife because it was so tight.

My company invited me and my partner to the Cape for a beach weekend but had to reschedule it due to the weather. This is the only hotel in the area that did not offer a refund with 48 hours notice, so not only did I not get to enjoy the beach weekend, but I wasted a couple hundred bucks on a hotel that I never even checked into

Don't believe the photos.
Such a disappointment. Rooms were moldy, dark, dirty, and dank. The tub was dangerous and slippery and you couldn't take a bath if you wanted to as the drain plug had been pulled out. The property is looking unloved and uncared for. We would not have stayed a second night if it had not already been paid for.

Property manager hardly spoke English. The room didn't have glasses. When asking the manager, he had no idea what I was talking about. Room had no water, no glasses, no iron or ironing board.... basics for a room at $260 per night. Bed was too small (full instead of queen size). Very disappointing

Driving up to the motel, it looks abandoned - dead vines on the front of the building, it needs to be painted and the roof is in poor condition. Inside the room, the same sort of conditions - furniture worn out and torn, drawers didn't close all the way and had broken knobs, the microwave had the wrong size turntable, the sink faucet was extremely hard to use - obviously poorly repaired. And the cleaning service didn't wipe the sink or clean the floor. The whole place just looked like no one cared about it. We will not stay there again.

I can’t even believe that this hotel is offered on Expedia. Unfortunately, once you have booked a hotel room in that area there are not many other options if you want to change your mind and leave. I have several pictures to attach as well. The amount of filth in the bedroom was absolutely appalling

Faded former gem
The motel has seen better days. While the room was clean and nicely appointed with antique furniture the exterior was shabby. Mossy and dirty roof and walls with rotted wood trim. Even the sign out front needed painting. Large weeds grew in the flower beds and bags of yard waste were lying by the dumpsters. The pool was closed and held stagnant water.

We booked this location as a stop on our bike tour. We had limited options due to two night requirements at many hotels. Overall the property is not well maintained and is in disrepair. Our room had not one single trashcan, our coffee cups were not well cleaned, the bedside table drawer front was not attached, the sink faucet required two hands to operate and the room had a musty odor. This property is overpriced; only stay here if no other options are available.

Decently priced, accommodating staff, pretty clean and convenient parking. Decor has a 1980s feel but in a good way. The room was nostalgic but has everything you need for travel including cable, mini fridge, microwave, tv, and closet. The grounds are also quite adorable including a small porch that leads to a pond with swans surrounded by Adirondack chairs. Very sweet place and would stay again.

Location was good for what we needed. Room was clean but floor was not swept. Property needs a lot of upgrading. Looks run down on the outside. Pictures on website are dated. Property has much potential with some TLC.
