Hotel masivo, deja bastante que desear, atención lenta, no tienen suficientes estacionamientos, comida deficiente, muy difícil usar los restaurantes, buena atención de los bares pero se ven sobrepasados, faltan lugares que estén abiertos simultánemente, excesiva espera para el chek in y el check out. Cobros adicionales al llegar.

Love that it was very clean and the grounds weee very well kept, the rooms needs new curtains and bedding and softer towels in the bathroom, and the lighting in the hallways can be brighter, but overall it wàs a great stay my grandson loved it,

The food selection was very poor in comparison to the Riu Hotel in Aruba, Mexico or Punta Cana. No mimosas was a downer! Not all restaurants specialty restaurants opened every day. The steakhouse served us raw chicken, raw steak, raw chorizo and overcooked corn and shrimp. Not one person asked us why four people left the food and had not eaten anything. They cleared the table and that was it.

Las llaves de las habitaciones no funcionaban, y las personas de recepcion no nos ayudaban, eramos 6 y un nino de 7, solo nos dejaban 6 paños, les dijimos varias veces pero todos los dias solo dejaban 6. Los postres fatales, de muy baja calidad y muy pocos, las cosas se terminaban y costaba mucho que las volvieran a poner. El servicio de mesa muy pobre, tal vez mucha gente y poco staff y no muy agradables. Muy peligrosas las bañeras no tenian un sticker o algo para no deslizarse, varios de nosotros nos resbalamos y nos golpeamos, habia una nota que cada dos dias hacian el refill de las bebidas, lo cual no paso. Hemos ido anteriormente y no habiamos tenido problemas, pero ha bajado mucho la calidad para ser un hotel 5 estrellas.

We had reservations but did not stay there after going to our room, it was old dirty and had a very bad smell. It was jam packed with people and the pool was so crowded we could not get in.

Property was gorgeous. Staff was very friendly. Lots of new construction going on in front of Property. The only road leading to the property has very hazardous potholes due to the heavy equipment traveling through.

This property needs to be upgraded!!! The showers are dark and the toilet seat is barely attached. Staff did not supply washcloths until our 3rd or 4th night. The TV and remote did not work, I complained but no one ever came to fix it. The sink was clogged when we checked in. This location does not offer room service but everywhere closes at 9:30pm. The sports bar has very limited options. This location is geared more to families or kids. Nothing for adults after hours. The restaurant system is horrible, no reservations but they close the list at 7pm but open by 6pm. The buffet process was annoying and lacked variety, same food everyday. Not to mention there is no ATM on the property. We were not allowed to visit the sister property. Limited elevators, that’s if they are working plus no bellboy staff for assistance with luggage. The resort shuts down by midnight. I was highly disappointed. I have stayed at several RIU’s in Jamaica, this was the worst location ever!!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Steakhouse was the best! Beautiful property. Will stay again! Wifi was spotty even in room and nightly live entertainment was the same just different theme.

I liked the overall service mainly at the front desk assistance. The pool area was nice and spacious. Staff was always helpful and being able to book tours in the property was a great convenience. The only thing I was a disappointment about was finding out that there was a limit in the quantity of people to receive at the restaurants. Multiple times we went to a restaurant and we weren't able to be seated with not option of waiting for a turn.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Riu Guanacaste. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The shower was a little slippery and would be difficult for anybody w any limitations or small children. The restaurants were average. Tucan and Tuscana were the best. The drinks were delicious and plentiful. Staff was kind and helpful. The beach was beautiful! The ocean is clear and we were able to see many different types of fish. The grounds at the hotel were clean and also well maintained. The pool was spectacular! We will be back!!
