Ramada at Elko, Nevada.
This overnight stay at the Ramada at Stockman's Casino in Elko, Nevada, was our 4th and last night of a five day, four night trip from Colfax, California to Cascade, Idaho. The front desk clerk was super sweet upon our arrival. We had arrived about an hour before our room was ready so we went and washed our car and then came back to have a nice cold beer at the bar inside the casino. The bar tender was very friendly and attentive. At 3:00 we checked in, were able to use a trolley for our luggage and then were pleasantly surprised at a very luxurious king size bed, waters, fridge, microwave, large airy bathroom and best of all a pool right outside our door. That evening we dressed up and had dinner at the restaurant. Very good. Gambled some then sat out in the court yard for our final night caps. It was the best we had been in for all of our trip.

The room was nice and clean. But there was no shampoo or soap in the bathroom. Also no remote for the tv. The front desk offered to send the remote. After two hours we went to the front desk to get it.

Place was still doing renovations but looked great. Beds not comfy at all. Dont get a room with a balcony. Way too hot. Even with ac on. Never got below 80. Got a new room. Try to take a shower? Lmao. Was like taking a shower with a water bottle. No water pressure at all. Wow. Never never again.

Bed was very saggy, pool closed due to lightening. Kids/dogs/humans running up and down all outdoor corridors for a good hour. Had to be that person to open door and say KNOCK IT OFF. Restaurant was nice and breakfast was free and fast.

Gross!!! Everywhere you look there is dirt and grime. If I had not prepaid I would have left immediately. The online photos are not a true representation of the room. How this place gets more than 1/2 a star is beyond me. I could go on but I’ll spare you the details.

Helpful but unnecessary
the key card given to us didnt work the first 2 times and ultimately needed a security card to open it. luckily this was only a late night stop so we just wanted to get in the room and out in the AM. Not sure why they didnt just move us rooms if that key reader wasnt working.

To be fair, Ramada has done well renovating an old downtown hotel, and it was clean. However, BOTH elevators were out of order, and staff not only failed to mention this, they seemed put out by our concerns. The property sits in a rundown area of town, and supports a tired old casino. I do commend them for offering a full and real breakfast. Also, in a room with a single bed, there’s room to add a desk, or at least a chair.
