we stayed here before boarding a cruise ship due to its proximity to the port. Its a beautiful old building, but the inside has not been brought up to date. No USB ports, minimal outlets and repairs all over the room and even the doors. Breakfast area does not accommodate the amount of rooms available, so seating was very limited. Walls have minimal insulation, so the hallways was noisy. Its a busy hotel because of its location. Beautiful grounds, but im not sleeping outside the building! Needs a massive upgrade. The cost was reasonable for Ft Lauderdale. You pay for the location. It was disappointing overall. As a travel agent, i would caution booking here for more than ine night.

The property seems older, but our room was clean. Walls are thin and our neighbors were loud. We got early check in which was very much appreciated. On the down side, we left the property at around 7:00 am and the coffee and some of the breakfast items were not ready.

The property is clean and the room is fine. Complimentary breakfast was good. Couple quirks - the hotel is off the beaten path from restaurants and stores. There are places to eat, but there is a bit of a walk to get these. They are strict to their check in time - which is unfortunate for folks that arrive early. We were there at 11:00am and did not get into a room until after 2:00. Most hotels will allow you in as the rooms are cleaned...

I have stayed here a few years ago and it wasn’t that bad. This time the room was dirty , hair on floor and in bath tub. The bath tub bottom bubbled up so that when step in it felt like you were going to fall through the floor. There were steaks of rust from the metal bar in the bathtub, the worst thing for me though was that at 1:30 in the morning, someone double booked our room and someone walked into the room while myself and son were sleeping, it was terrifying. I will not be coming back.
