We love staying at the Royal Sands! The beach is incredible and the staff is amazing!! Resort is HUGE. The onsite store is so convenient. The food at all restaurants is delicious. The rooms are basic and simple but everything you need to get the relaxation necessary. Love that they have a gym and spa on the resort as well. Will definitely continue to return to the Royal Sands every year.

Property itself was good room nice it needs few touches in the bathroom. I had VIP but I really didn’t like that I couldn’t eat or drink anything I would like very weird rules for all inclusive resort. Poor breakfast and lunch but dinners were good.Poor entertainment couldn’t go to shows unless I made reservations. No club with disco dance after 10 pm. No entreatment or games around resort and pool area like others have. Definitely I was in much better resorts before.

Spotless resort, great food,friendly staff. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Just wish it was easier to make dinner reservations. You have to go through your concierge. Seems if you don’t sit in a timeshare presentation, they aren’t very helpful. Would definitely come back though. Tip, try and book Saturday to Saturday so you don’t have to switch rooms during your stay.

Favorite Cancun resort so far. Super clean, fantastic service. Great food and drinks. Although the buffet could be better. Phenomenal beach and pool. (Just wish they would set up the volleyball net for more than 1 hour per day.) Will definitely return.

The food was terrible. I am not a fussy eater. It was the same crap every day. Don't eat the boneless buffalo wings at sidelines. As they are chicken nuggets packed with salt. Leaves a nasty taste in the mouth. The poolside drinks were heavily watered down. ( Their own brands) All premium drinks like Bacardi, Jack Daniels etc you have to pay for in an all inclusive package ?.I have stayed at various hotels and all drinks have always been included. But NOT here. Myself and other guests I spoke to had vomitted from the dodgy cocktails at the bar. This is probably salmonella poisoning down to unhygiene practices when handling dairy mixes. The wine offered at dinner was like a bottle of Sarsons malt vinegar. Absolutely vile. I drank a bit which gave me chronic heart burn. I ordered lunch on 2 occasions at the poolside. And both occasions the staff did not deliver. Maybe it was too much for them. It's a shame . The place has great views, a good pool. But completely let down with the food & Drinks. I have been to Cancun many times. This must be the worst hotel in terms of food & Drink. I would never return to Royal Sands again and any hotel affiliated with them. Void like the corona virus. I had to buy my own drinks from the supermarket and sit in the apartment. The Royal Sands needs to stop reducing costs in terms of Food and Alcoholic beverages in this competitive market. You can see that max profitability is more important to this resort.

The resort itself was clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated. However the food was a serious issue. Unfortunately we experienced food poisoning during our stay, which was extremely concerning and disappointing, it didn’t matter which restaurant or type of food we tried at the resort; the quality was the same.

The beach was great, the property was clean. Main compliant was that the water park area, the tennis/pickleball courts, and the basketball courts were closed due to maintenance. This limited activities for kids and teenagers. They have been shut down for a couple months, so it would’ve been nice to know before the trip.
