We stayed here six years back with little kids and returned with another family and teens. There’s lots to do, decent food at any time (a new app to make reservations easier) and sunny perfection. The staff was helpful and kind. We saw monkeys almost daily early about 7-8am near the swings or water park. The biggest slides of the park are closed due to maintenance and one night power went out. The staff did a great job pivoting. One of our five kids did get food poising that lasted about 24 hours. The rest of us had no issues. Overall a great experience

After reading all the negative reviews, almost switched hotels. Honestly it wasn't bad at all. Staff were super friendly. Food wasn't 5 star but the buffet has options. Restaurants need to be booked but didn't have a problem doing that. I would recommend this resort to families more than anything. Water park was awesome. Kids had a blast

beautifull resort with cenotes and the food acceptable for Mexico resort. The bigest issue is to reserve restaurant you must do it on a daily basis at midnight if you are not Elite members, so basically a pain in the butt. Also there almost no beach. I do not recommend that resort for these reasons.

Beautiful property, the cenotes and jungle are one of a kind. The pools are great though a bit busy at times and the beach is lovely (pack water shoes!). Only downfall was booking the a la cartes, but the food was good! Would go again!

We had a lot of fun here, felt safe and enjoyed the variety of things to do. We were there for a week with another family and our young children. The bugs definitely come out at night and the animals can be food aggressive so you have to be careful not to let your kids hold food in some outdoor areas.

A good family resort. Lots of things for families to do and see. Water park, bike rides, tennis, pickle ball, paddle, cenote swimming and river snorkel. Wildlife at the resort is incredible. Grounds need some tending too. Public washrooms have doors that are broken, toilet seats missing, this was the case in all public rest rooms. The beach is very rocky with a small spot for swimming. Wouldn’t be so bad if you brought water shoes. Room we stayed in was updated and perfect for a family of four. This is not an unlimited à la carte resort so be prepared to eat at the buffet some evenings.

Sandos eco resort has a lot of positives but also some negatives. Positives- jungle with lots of wild life, beach, cenote, water park, cleanliness, fun shows each night. Negatives- service, food, drinks, though I did enjoy some of it. The restaurant reservations were difficult to get and they told us we could only have three reservations during our 9 day stay. I would not stay at this resort again for the few negatives, since there are other all inclusive resorts in the area that offer much better service.

We loved this hotel as a family. Tons to do! Out of our 7 days, we never felt bored. We had no desire to leave the hotel because there was so much we could do on site. The only downside was no hot water in our room which made it extremely difficult with an infant and toddler. Beyond that, we loved our stay.

What a magical resort! It’s a great place for a family vacation. We loved seeing the monkeys, coatis, and iguanas. The cenotes and natural surroundings were the main reasons we chose this resort. All the restaurant options were fabulous! We especially loved the Japanese restaurant, El Tempo. One great benefit of booking through Expedia is that the hotel concierge will make three restaurant reservations for you. The weather wasn’t ideal for us, but we embraced it—snorkeling in the rain and even spotting a small stingray at the resort’s beach. Be sure to bring water shoes, and you’ll have no trouble walking on the rocky parts of the shore. The rooms were perfect for families, and the bunk beds were an incredible option! The staff were fabulous and so was the night time shows. What a gem of a place! We can’t wait to return!
