The Garden City Hotel is a wonderful place. The staff is friendly and helpful, the property very attractive and well maintained and the guest rooms nicely appointed. Restaurants, cafes and bars are within a short walk. We have stayed there a couple of times and will again.

The property is very nice. The one complaint is they tried to charge more than the Expedia price by adding a resort fee. I called Expedia and they quickly resolved it. If the hotel wants this fee, it should be included in the advertised price. Otherwise it feels like bait and switch.

Anniversary trip - hotel was where we stayed 32 years ago. Management was very nice to leave dessert/wine in room! We were given a room on second floor near a meeting room...also dog barking. Bathroom shower doors was hard to close (sticky) and the shower grout was yucky. Overall would not recommend for the price!

The Garden City Hotel Is The Best Place To Stay!!!
I came out to Long Island to attend a wedding reception in Franklin Square. The Garden City Hotel was close to the venue, so I chose this hotel for an overnight stay. The room was very neat and clean. The bed was so comfortable with a hard and firm mattress which is what I needed for my low back pain. The pillows were so soft and comfortable. I slept well and had to get up early to leave, and wished I could have slept longer. The staff, greeters and bell hops were all very polite and welcoming. This hotel is beautiful. I would be happy to select this hotel again, if I should come out to Long Island. I would highly recommend The Garden City Hotel to my friends and family.
