The only issue that myself and other guest's had, was lack of communication. Not one guest was prior notified or given alternate directions due to the roadworks blocking all four intersection entries to the hotel. It left guests frustrated to find a way to the hotel and also where to park to simply check in.

A Hidden Jewel
The foyer of the Woodroffe is very welcoming, and the overall look and feel is very clean, neat, and well presented. Our room was clean and well appointed, and the beds very comfortable. There were road works being undertaken right outside our window, but that is beyond the control of the Woodroffe and a closed window-blind minimised any intrusion. The downside of our stay was the lack of hotel parking. We arrived at 2pm (check in time) and already the parking was booked out. The Hotel.Com booking site mentioned parking was available, but not the limited amount, 'first in first served'. In fairness, The Woodroffe's own website does clearly state limited parking - we were able to access open air parking not too far away. There is a light rail tram station within an easy walk, which is convenient for access to shopping and activities along the Gold Coast.

I enjoyed my stay. Room was spotless and the bed was gorgeous, more comfortable than my own. The only criticism I have is the wheelchair/walking aid platform which was very confusing to operate, I had to ask for assistance every time I used it and the comment was “it’s always playing up” Apart from that - awesome hotel!!!!!

Thanks for having us. Mostly fine but felt 5 nights deserved a change in sheets. Noisy street people at 4am. Lots of shouting. Knew you couldn't really help that. Used dining room area as group dinner option. Just a little tired as hotel.
