Great Stay!
This was my first stay at the Hyatt Regency and will definitely stay here again. I frequent Savannah often with my business. Everyone from the valet to the Front Desk to the restaurant was friendly and welcoming. The hotel is clean and up to date with a warm atmosphere.

Hotel was wonderful. Conveniently located on Riverwalk. Outside, there are a lot of homeless sleeping on the bench’s, asking for money, etc. I didn’t feel safe walking alone after dusk. Hotel charged a $25.00 “destination fee” per day without telling me beforehand. I was with a conference and many of my coworkers didn’t get this charge. The hotel staff wouldn’t remove the additional fees which totaled 75.00 plus tax. Loved sitting outside in the evening eating at the restaurant. Food was good.

Terrible check in experience — the hotel had given away our room (which I had already paid for in full at booking) and the woman behind the counter was trying to tell me the only available room was going to cost twice as much! I declined the offer so she starts offering a refund and I say I’d prefer to talk with the manager. She went to the back rooms and came back and told us to “have a seat for thirty minutes while the manager figures something out for us” so I insisted again on talking to the manager immediately to try and clear up what our options actually were because it was late and we have a baby, so if I needed to start shopping for a hotel room at 9pm on a Friday I’d like to know immediately so I’m not wasting time. I told her this and I guess she took it personally because she started having a meltdown moment, telling her coworker under her breath “I will fight this man” and calling security over to make me sit down lol. This is obviously embarrassing and awkward since people are staring and she’s yelling across the lobby for the “police officer” lol. The security guard then talked to the manager in the back and told us that we’ll get the room we booked they just need a few minutes to clean it. ??? So I’m not sure what the whole ordeal was about if the counter lady was just having a bad night or what but that was ridiculous. Other than that the stay was typical hotel nothing special. Crib was a pack and play which was disappointing. Check out lady was nice.

Easy Check in, Waved Destination fee as they had to change our room. A little Confusion when checking out as they tried to charge us the destination fee but cleared up confusion easily. Pricing Parking at the hotel, so we parked down the street at a different parking garage and transported our bags to the hotel. Overall very pleased with the hotel experience

We love this hotel and stay here often. The staff is great and the property is very well cared for. We love the location. If were coming to Sav/Tybee we stay here and only here. The breakfast is worth it! The pool is kinda chilly and I wish they would heat it just a little more.
