Not sure why I paid an extra $10 for a patio. It was a chair outside and there was a lovely covered area that I think all residents could use for no extra charge. The room was tiny but not unexpected because of the mid century vibe. Nicely remodeled keeping that feel. Bed comfy, ac worked great, breakfast was adequate. A little pricey, but considering the overall inflated prices for the area, not too bad.

The rooms were clean but small and basic. There was no person on the property for check-in or check-out. It was a very impersonal experience. Also, I was not aware of their cancelation policy - 7 days.

The town of Douglas was very quaint and the Blue Star Motel was very convenient and clean. We could walk to many things, would stay again

The property was very good and clean housekeeping. Staff were wonderful and kind. The only thing we would say there was a dropout for us was we would like to have the hot tub open late so we could’ve enjoyed it

This property was fantastic. It looked a bit like an old fashioned "Mom & Pop Motel" but those pictures didn't do it justice. I think the pictures have been updated since we booked. The room was actually almost a suite as it had a sitting room complete with a sofa, lamps and tables, and a TV. A rather small bathroom was in the hall that joined the bedroom. This was also nicely furnished and had a TV. The back door opened onto a covered porch with chairs and a small table. The yard featured a fire pit,, covered pavilion, hot tub, and even a gas grill. We received a text that our room was ready shortly after 11AM, with detailed information about accessing the room. While we never saw any employees on the site it was definitely well looked after. We were able to walk to several places to eat and the surrounding area was nice. We would stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking fro accommodations in this area.
