I loved the location, easy 1 min walk to the beach and shopping all around in every direction. Dining close by but if you want to experience the local foods you need to Uber same with shopping from locals. Go to the flea markets open Saturdays and Sundays, you will find everything sold in the ABC stores but cheaper and you are helping the locals. Only negative is water is only available at fountains in the hotel and they are not on every floor. They provide beach towels which is great but bring them back or you get charged, which is reasonable.

The continental breakfast has fresh fruit! Staff members were always happy and polite. Seemed genuinely concerned about keeping us happy during our stay. We would be happy to stay at this resort again.

Excellent location - super close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The only issue is the constant food/ restaurant smell wafting thru the hallway open windows on 2 sides of the hotel. We were on the 4th floor and the smell just rose up I guess. The rooms were fine as the AC circulated and refreshed the air inside. The balcony tho was a no go for us due to the fried, heavy smells.

We were very displeased to hear that at checkin there were no rooms available despite the fact that I had booked and paid in advance for this room weeks in advance and had spoken on the phone to confirm our reservation that same morning. After going back and forth for awhile about this to the check in attendant, I was told that they gave our room away to someone else earlier in the day because there was some sort of convention occurring in the area. Quite frankly, not my problem if the hotel overbooked themselves. Eventually they were able to give us a room and didn’t charge us for the upgrade but this left a very sour note for us to begin our vacation.

I really liked this resort there is nothing i would change the rooms were nice and clean the breakfast was great i feel some sausage or bacon choices would of been nice but not complaining about the food everything was great and delicious if anything was out it was quickly replaced. The staff was very friendly the pool was nice and clean. We would walk one block to get to the beach. I would definitely stay again.

The pool was not in service for the majority of our trip. Customer service overall was wonderful however we did have two instances that felt awkward. When we first arrived to the hotel, we were checked into a room that smelled of rotting rear-end. Very pungent and after 30 minutes in the room we informed the front desk of the concern. They moved us rooms but the response was as if we were an inconvenience despite being very apologetic. During that transition there were several comments between workers about the importance that we don’t get a room upgrade (which is confusing to me as we paid extra for a balcony with a city view) and we weren’t seeking an upgrade, we were seeking a room that smelled and felt clean. A few nights later we had brought dessert back to the hotel and called the front desk to see if we could get some plastic forks from the breakfast room, we were informed that they don’t normally give out forks to guests (they are literally in the dining hall for grabs in the morning), and he agreed to make an exception then when we arrived to the front desk to grab the plastic forks he again reminded us that the plastic forks are not for guests. The interaction once again felt sightly degrading as if our request was a huge inconvenience. The pictures we viewed when booking the room was misleading. The rooms are extremely small and the beds are fulls, not queens. The rooms are outdated, there is visible water damage and cleanliness is concerning. Wouldn’t recommend.

Location was great. One block to the beach. Beach is very narrow in this area. Plenty to do in the area for shopping and eating if you can get through the street and sidewalk crowds. Room was dated, had torn wallpaper and rust around plumbing in the bathroom. Sink in bathroom was a tiny corner sink, 9" across the back, coming to triangle point at you. Just washing hands slopped and splashed soap and water all over the walls. Probably why everything is rusted and torn. Driving around Honolulu is a nightmare, and I'm from NY! I would suggest cabs or ride shares instead of renting. Garage here is terrible. Only holds about 30 cars, is very cramped, and very difficult to even drive in. Parking in a spot is another adventure. If you find a spot, you may not be able to maneuver to actually get in it, or out of it. I saw drivers leave because they couldn't get an average sized car in a spot. Pool was being serviced 3/6 days we were here. It was great the days we had it. Hallways are extremely warm. At least our floor (9) and the pool floor (2) were. Louver windows at the ends of our hall were open the entire time we were there. There were no levers to close them. Waikiki is a nightmare for traffic with all the scooters and sport bikes racing all over the place.
