Staff were polite, but when we were unable to be assigned for the type of room we had reserved more than a month in advance, I was told nothing could be done. Needless to say, I was very upset, but our mood soured even more when we discovered how truly dysfunctional our room really was. By 11:00pm, front desk staff indicated management would contact me in the morning and try to make it right, but they never called. However, just before midnight, I had to go to my car for some items my child left behind and I ran into a person I assume was the night manager watching a game on the lobby tv. I expressed how I had planned to watch the game, but my tv didn’t work. On my way back through, I asked about a potential transfer to another property. Send me to Novi, Howell, etc, because my room and the weekend are seemingly cursed. Somehow, he magically produced a room within 10 minutes that met my specification. It’s shameful that I had to be pushed so far for them to deliver what I paid for. One additional star is awarded to housekeeping, who provided us with enough towels for my family of four, as neither room we were in was adequately stocked. If you could get a room for under $100, it might be worth it to stay and save, but this is a one-star hotel. Buyer beware.
