The cabin was nice and clean and exactly as pictured. Check in was easy and communication with the host was easy and prompt. It was nice to be able to relax by the fire pit and grill outside with our dog. We had a great time.

We had an incredible weekend here in this lovely cabin that exceeded expectations. The large dining table was perfect for board games! Would highly recommend for nerdy retreats with friends where you want to be cozily ensconced in nature with plenty of time and space for games!

What a perfect getaway! The property was breath taking and the home had everything needed for our stay, the owner was beyond kind, would stay again in a heartbeat! The area was so gorgeous, we came from Pittsburgh, Pa so you can only imagine how much nature meant to us, lots of hiking and trip to Woodstock! Our Golden retriever loved every second! God's work right out your door!

Stunning views, kind property owner.
I believe that the property’s description underestimates nature’s spectacular beauty that this lodge takes you to, we crave solitude, the sight of rising mist before sun rise, the sounds of crickets at down, being visited by a family of wild turkeys unexpectedly, and we got that and more, it was so quite and serene, we could hear our thoughts. This place is an undiscovered gem and I hope it stays as such. Edina, the property owner ,was gracious, kind and supportive , a role model. If nature is on your mind, if you want to know how Henry David Thoreau felt at Walden , this is the place.

Quiet, beautiful mountain view-home.
We had a wonderful peaceful stay. The views and property and home itself are first class. Perfect for us. Make sure to bring food and supplies as nearest stores and restaurants are a half hour or more away as one drives through the winding and beautiful mountain roads.

This is a wonderful home in a beautiful mountain setting. The views from the house are sensational. There is a great Stone fireplace, well stocked kitchen with stone countertops. If you’re looking for privacy views and beautiful grounds we highly recommend this home.

Cozy Winter Retreat
My friends and I had an excellent time at Bearpen Lodge over New Years Eve. The house was beautiful, clean and nicely appointed. Several updates have been made since we reserved the property, and we were pleasantly surprised with the upgrades! Adina was an excellent host who was very communicative and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. We hope to be back in the future.

The property more than lived up to our expectations of being an escape to nature, enabling us to renew our spirits. The host provided more than adequate kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom amenities such that we did not have to replenish these on our own as in other rentals. Great Stay at Bearpen Lodge
My family and i just got back from a 5 day stay at Bearpen Lodge. The property is on a hill with an expansive view of the mountains and we were gifted with the most beautiful sunrises and intense sunsets. The house was warm, the water was very hot (big plus!), and the gas grill and kitchen appliances worked great. Extra sheets, pillows, towels and blankets were also available. We had everything we needed for our stay and Adina was a warm and gracious host and promptly replied to our emails and texts. We ended up leaving a few things behind when we left and she generously offered to mail them back to us. The trail to hike up Bearpen Mountain is highly recommended and the entrance is within walking distance from the house (not an easy trail though!). Thank you so much, Adina!
