Could Have Been Better
This was our 3 or 4th stay. They modernized to digital locks so you get a text message when you can check in. This was super convenient. Bed was as comfortable as I remember and the voucher for breakfast across the street at the Speckled Hen was very useful. In previous stays this establishment was ultra clean. On this visit I found it not so. I wouldn't recommend walking around in bare feet. Floors weren't clean. Linens in the bathroom were worn and tethered. For the price I will think twice before my return. I already made plans for a return visit next year and chose a different place to stay. As for convenience it is great! Walking distance to town. Close proximity to Sight and Sound, The Rail Museum and Train, as well as Amish County with all it glory.

We have stayed at the Carriage House on e before and we're so glad we could again. The breakfast deal the Carriage House has with the Speckled Hen across the street,(simple walk across a two lane street), is THE BEST. The bed was comfortable. The room very clean and pleasant looking. Staff were very friendly. Will stay here again.

We loved the location and the delicious breakfast at the Speckled hen cafe across the street. The Carriage house was very clean with lovely updated rooms while still keeping the historical charm. Comfy beds and linens and a fully stocked kitchen were all enjoyed.
