I didn't realize that the hotel would be 1.5 hours drive from London Heathrow airport (although Google Maps shows it to be only 16 miles). So the drive there and back (to/from airport is a total of 3 hours - which we used Uber. I am also not sure if the guy that called me before my trip to confirm the details put my requests in (high floor, away from the elevator and if I could do a one hour delay in checkout time)... I won't even hold this against him/hotel though because I/we honestly had no major gripes. Vishal was phenomenal with our check in. Very pleasant. We had a drink in The Lampery and the customer service there was nice. Beautiful hotel. Loved the room (minus squeaky floor right before you enter the living area from the bedroom area (had a junior suite). We easily walked to the London Bridge, Tower of London, and Camden Market... Also found ourselves over near Big Ben and the Tate Museum! So we were just walking away. LOL. I would book here again or consider any other Apex Hotels if they are comparable to this one. Thanks, Apex City of London Hotel/staff!!

The staff smoked in my room.
An otherwise very good hotel that I’ve used in the past and been pleased with was ruined by the fact that someone went into my room when I wasn’t there and smoked a cigarettes and it stank for the rest of my stay and gave me a headache because of the tabbaco stench.

Great location and lovely hotel.
Great stay. Room was perfect, specious, lovely bathroom. Lovely friendly staff in reception, restaurant and bar, nothing was too much trouble. More gluten free options would be nice especially at breakfast . Fantastic location for all aspects of London.

Overall the stay was great. The one negative point I would make was that the TV was not a smart TV and only had access to Freeview channels. I was very surprised that a hotel like this in 2024 did not have a TV that had or allowed access to streaming services.

Beautiful modern hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable rooms with lovely extras like robes, toiletries and treats. Walking distance to tube station, restaurants, Tower of London, Tower Bridge and other local attractions. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay with everything you need. 5 mins walk from Tower hill tube. Woukd have been 5 stars but the sevice on fri in the bar was awful. Ignored whilecwaiting by 2 staff then the bsrtender didnt communicate just asked for the price of the drinks. Attention to detail needed

Excellent hotel
Amazing hotel, very close to the underground and around the corner to the bus 15 which takes you close to Covent Garden and to Trafalgar square. The rooms were clean and modern. The only downside is extremely slow service in the restaurant. Both times I went (drink and breakfast) it took forever to get our order. However, everything else was excellent.

This property was 5 min walk from the Tower of London and 10 from the London bridge and 5 min walk to the metro. This was a great location with close by bars, shops and restaurants. Clean up to date rooms!
