Close to Airport. Check in was easy and quick. Easy to get around. Nice swim area with swim up bar. Indoor lobby bar was good. All waiting staff was helpful and tended to our needs. Beautiful scenery including the ocean. Upon checking in I didn't like that we were asked to do a tour at a new hotel the following day which included a free breakfast. My hotel patio door was damaged. The food buffet could of had a better assortment of meals.

While this is one of the older properties in the area it is the one that has the charm and culture. It is also on the beach! A good value!

My wife and I spent 10 days here in early February as we had always wanted to be on the beach in winter! We saw humpback whales everyday from the beach including mothers with calves and competing males. One day one of them swam parallel to the beach so close that they nearly rode the breaking wave! The large swimming pool is not heated. The beach is red and black flagged all the time (of course this is true throughout most of Cabo. The food here is very good and the inside and pool side bars offer great service. The water pressure in the shower is wonderful. Many Canadians and some Americans (who live in the northern tier of states) visit this resort every year in the winter and have been doing so for many many years. They create a very warm and welcoming family feel to all. The only negative (and this is a big one) the beds are very hard bed springs which are supplemented by a very thin egg crate foam topper (which is of almost no value). This creates far less than ideal sleeping conditions. In talking with many other guests we found this to be true in most if not all rooms.

One of the more difficult properties to review. The placement of the property is about as good as it gets. The down side is limited to the age and condition of the property. Don’t worry it is not terrible, just old with some deferred maintenance issues. It reminded me of what Cabo was like in the 70”s. Quiet, quaint, perfect beach, good food and drinks at a reasonable price. We both agreed we would stay here again if for a short stay. I have to believe this is one of the best values for lodging. If you only like spotless new resorts and wild times I suggest another property.

Gathering with family and friends

The hotel is in a fabulous location close to restaurants and stores. We could walk everywhere, even to thee center of San Juan. (we like to walk)Besides needing a good sprucing up, paint, new, comfortable mattresses and pillows, it's charm and small number of rooms made it easy to navigate the property. It's like the old motels of the 50s and 60s.The staff was very friendly, always happy and the service very attentive and professional. The breakfast buffet was really good with a wide variety of juices, pastries and every breakfast type of food you'd want. The hotel was clean but needed a paint job, comfortable mattresses, new pillows and a much faster Internet!!.

Staff were very friendly and helpful except reception people, not friendly and couple of times rude. Rooms were very clean except for the washrooms in the lobby, so disgusting. Poor entertainment day and night time. And charge you even to play bingo at the pool. The pool water was so cold and they didn't fix the heat of the pool. The buffet they have to serve you and so repetitive, food I was not impressed. Mexican food it's better that that. I saw some people happy. I guess everything depends of your expectations. Was not shipped at all to say it's ok.

The service if you don’t have all inclusive is not good. It’s very hard to get ice and ask for anything. Housekeepers are great front desk need to step it up. Coming from a 5 star hotel manager
