DEFINITELY a do over!!
What a great experience!!! We had a riverview room and left the curtains open all night just to enjoy it! Check in and check out gals where both absolutely delightful to visit with. Not only was the room reasonably priced but it includes a very good breakfast!! DEFINITELY a do over. If you are anywhere near Madison check out the Hillside Inn.

This is a much older property, but is kept very clean and has updated rooms. It was great having a balcony to enjoy some very nice fall days. Friendly people at reception. Provided a hot breakfast, which was just ok. Would have no problem with staying again.

This is a lovely little hotel for the price. We greatly enjoyed our balcony room with the incredible view of historic Madison. The room was clean, but very outdated. The sheets were pilled up and rough. Room was HOT but you can't control the temp, so we left the balcony door open for air. The bed was awful. You could feel every lump and spring. The air freshener smells in the lobby and halls is very overwhelming. The staff are all very kind, especially Beth at the front desk.

Clifty Alternative in Madison IN
Pleasant stay in efficient room; comfortable bed, clean facilities, and friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent for a "continental breakfast" - a variety of hot and cold items with a waffle maker that actually worked and was kept cleam. We chose a modest room as we were only there for one night; larger rooms has gorgeous views. We will stay there again if we get the chance.
