Good place for a brief stay.
We stayed here one night prior to plane travel. Just to note that you have to call the hotel for the airport shuttle upon arrival at Barajas. The hotel is about a 15 minute drive from the airport but there can be heavy traffic. The hotel is modern and the room is comfortable and quiet. The pool is not heated. The little commercial area has some good restaurants. The metro is a short walk through a residential area.

The showers in this hotel don’t have a door or curtain enclosing them. When taking a shower water goes all over the floor making it quite slippery and dangerous. There’s a short rubber gasket that’s supposed to hold the water from flowing out the shower, but this was not properly sealed in our room so more water would get on the bathroom floor. During the morning they offer breakfast but this it was communicated anywhere that you had to pay for the breakfast. Finally, we used the hotel shuttle to the airport. The driver was very unfriendly not helping to load or unload our luggage into the van.

Lovely, light corner room with view of the neighborhood. This property is in a neighborhood of apartment buildings with small plazas that contain a shop and some local restaurants. It is a bit of walk from the metro but offers transport van to and from the airport which is five minutes away.

We stayed at this hotel twice. The rooms are ok but the lack of staff to run the place well is very noticeable. Breakfast doesn’t start until 7 AM which makes it a bit tricky if you have an early flight. We kept asking for basic stuff because there was no staff looking after the Breakfast station… Also, no food options until 6pm, they do not offer room service to the rooms, you need to go downstairs every-time to order food which is not convenient especially travelers with children that are on different time-zones! They actually got annoyed when we asked if they offered room service. Overall average place. Sadly, this will be our last time we visit.

We picked Serotel because it was close to the Madrid airport. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean, pleasant, and comfortable; airport shuttle was very convenient; and we even found a very good Trattoria nearby where we enjoyed an excellent dinner.

Good airport hotel
This hotel is a great option if you have an early morning flight from Madrid, as we did. It's close to the airport, and there is a free airport shuttle, which saves time and money. The breakfast is not free, but it's at a reasonable price, and it's very good. The rooms are pretty utilitarian, but they are clean and fine for a night. There are a few restaurants that are within walking distance if you arrive in time for dinner. This was our second stay here, so you know it's a good option!

The airport shuttle information online was confusing when we arrived in Madrid. We ended up taking an Uber; however, the shuttle does run every 45 minutes. Two great restaurants just around the block in a friendly neighborhood full of families. Staff was very helpful.
