Our room could use some updating. Carpet had rolls in it and needs to be stretched. Coffee Pot water well was dirty. Fan did not work. The rooms are overrated and expensive. The bed was comfortable. The view was nice from our room (river view). There is only one elevator in the whole hotel and it is very small. The location was excellent and parking was easily accessible.

Lafayette Hotel is a beautiful early 20th century hotel in the charming city of Marietta. We had a wonderful visit!

The property itself was unique and the fact that it was set in the 50s and we appreciate older buildings and enjoy our stay in such a place. Didn’t like ? There was nothing we didn’t like about the place. It was better than expected.

Lovely hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food. Negatives-Noisy street traffic at night, little bathroom space, no MW or frig. All that said we would stay at the Lafayette again.

Love the Antique furniture but the room was very small and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls. Window air conditioner was so noisy you couldn’t hear the tv. Overall our stay was pleasant.

Beautiful historic hotel. They advertise free breakfast but it’s only free Mon-Thursday. It doesn’t specify that unless you scroll down into fine print. They use the banner of free breakfast. However, it’s close to great food. River walk, and entertainment!

So, there is no free breakfast if you are staying on the weekend despite all the advertising that breakfast is offered. Some of the throw pillows on the bed were stained. There was obvious upkeep needed in the facility.

Loved staying in the old place. Your room and bathroom will be small. Our room was musty, like it had been closed up. Every window in the lobby and room was filthy, carpet felt grubby, but furnishings, sheets and towels were super clean

A lovely hotel. It’s old, but its history and grand design makes it worth it. The staff were so friendly and helpful!

This property is old and dated basically worn out. The toilet in our room is so close to the sink we cannot use it in the sitting position. The furniture is old and sone nice antique pieces but all the chairs need restuffing. We could not use the ac in our room it was too loud to sleep or have a conversation on arrival they put us in the lesser garage room than we had booked and it took a lot of conversation to get it changed and they blamed Expedia for everything.
