This is our home away from home when we visit our daughter in PG. Walkable, quiet and friendly staff. Breakfast delicious, great cookies and wine later in the day.

The front desk staff was rude and abusive when they did not know guests were within earshot, with particular focus on disparaging guests whom they deem LGBT+. This is disappointing, as Kirkwood Collection properties are otherwise wonderful, but being mistreated by staff makes it hard to give them business.

Check in was great. The place is cute, clean and comfortable. Great location. Breakfast was lacking but the evening wine pour was very nice. Our room was smaller than the internet photo.

Excellent staff. We loved the location and our room, we stayed in one of the cottages. Our only mild complaint is that the room smelled old. We felt like we got our money’s worth with the breakfast and evening champagne. Overall very cute and would probably stay again.

Lovely historic hotel in Pacific Grove.
We had a lovely room with a bay window and partial view of the sea. Breakfast was simple and very good.

My wife did not like the bed. Though the windows opened, there was no breeze and street noises from passing vehicles continued through the night. A box fan was provided but there was no outlet near the windows so cooler air could be drawn in. Finally, I was not expecting a third-party booking fee at check-in! We liked being within walking distance of restaurants. And there was a nice garden area with chairs.
