Expensive for dirty hotel.
The shower was dirty. There were many long black hairs on the shower curtain. My sister and I both have very short gray hair. There is now a $40 extra charge for having room straightened and fresh sheets or towels. The front desk clerks were downright rude. I have stayed at this resort several times before, but I will not be spending this much money for a room again at Westgate Resort. There are too many hotels on the beach to choose from.

The oceanfront rooms were amazing to wake up to and wind down to at the end of the evening. Definitely recommend them. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely will be coming back in the future.

We had good expectations from the place but once we got there noticed the room wasn’t properly cleaned. We stayed 4 nights and per the new protocols there was no housekeeping til we unoccupied the room. But we could have it clean if we paid a fee!!! The AC was not properly working and there was faul smell at times. Other than that pools were great and so was the staff. Will reconsider staying there again but at the end of the day you get what you paid for lol

It was quite dirty . The glass was foggy, bathroom had pee all over the bottom of the toliet. The furniture was all scratched and dirty. The tub and sink had hair. The overnight staff lady was bland and not welcoming at all. Very rude, my work trip ended 2 days early and I booked for 3 and paid in full and she was rude about me checking out early even though I didn’t ask for a refund or voucher or anything. Kinda unpleasant experience for my first time in SC.

Check in the lady was absolutely rude . I couldn’t understand why. I was above friendly. There was absolutely no housekeeping for the 4 nights, the noise of slamming doors parties in the hallway at 3am. Night! Having fun is one thing … But dogs barking all night til 3/4 in the morning. Door way areas. Smelling like dog pee. Oh and lets talk about how there is a lazy river a family pool, a mini water park and a lap pool. The adults couldn’t even enjoy the lap pool to do laps cause parents are in it with kids . They have the other 3 they can take their kids . No breakfast no complimentary anything . . It was awful

It is a good place. Definitelly a convenient place for families to come and enjoy, specially with families with special needs members. The fact that a refigerator and a microwave oven come standard in the room made a huge difference. All staff were very friendly during our stay. Very well located, in the heart of Myrtle Beach, near every convenient place. Good place. Definitelly we will return one day.

Nice location on the beach and the pools were great. Was expecting more to the room, definitely felt old, but were clean. The AC blew such hot hair outside that we could only sit on one corner of the deck. Had I known this was a “resort”/“timeshare” I would not have stayed here. Didn’t like when I arrived that we had to hear about a timeshare when we just wanted to unpack and my kids wanted to get to the pool. Wasn’t relaxing walking around as everywhere you went there were sales people walking around with couples trying to sell the timeshare. Didn’t feel welcoming at all when you were dodging staff and people being showed around.
