No hot water in shower.
The room was clean, but the shower faucet handle did not work and there was no hot water. No restaurants near by open, and no one at motel to ask questions.

Had an issue checking in. Arrived at 4 pm and there was no staff on premises. Sign on the locked office door provided phone number to call for check in information but i could not get a cell connection around area (it happens in UP). Thankfully there was another lady checking in who had a connection and she called for her and my check in.

The room was clean and comfortable, good shower/tub. We didn't find a blow dryer, but not a big deal. Would only note that laundry facilities were available only during daytime hours, and, as this was the midway point of our trip, we had planned to do laundry that evening. We were out enjoying the area during daytime, so would not have been able or interested in doing it during the day. Would only suggest that be noted on Hotels.com's site. Thanks!

We arrived and were greated with no heat. Forcast for the evening was 30's or low 40's were told boiler hadn't been serviced. Housekeeper rounded us a space heater to use. The morning was chilly and the heater took the edge off. Tried to use the microwave and the power went out. We asked for some compensation but were told by the housekeeper that it wasn't up to her. Who do we talk to?

The main problem with the room is there was NO HEAT! It got down to 45 degrees outside and it got VERY COLD in the room! BRRRRR! The cleaning staff was very friendly when I talked with them. They do a good job in keeping the place clean. There is no office or check-in. I got a text (good thing my phone worked!) on how to check in. That was easy, but odd there was no one onsite other than the cleaning staff until they were done for the day. A couple of restaurants were within easy walking distance. We went to Moofinfries, had their whitefish dinner and it was very good.
