This was our first time staying at Mountaineer Casino. It was a nice experience. Had the wood fired pizza at Gatsby’s. Very good. The casino was very clean and did not have that smoky/stale beer smell. Good mix of older and newer machines. Had a little luck there as well. The restrooms actually had a pleasant smell, which is rare! The rooms are due for an update but couldn’t your own house use one too? Staff was nice as well. Will return !!

Low toilet
All was good, except we needed a room with a higher toilet as I have had both of my hips replaced and it is really hard to get up with a low toilet. No biggy, but inconvenient.

Check-in was long, 30 min wait. I don't understand why they know everyone checks in at 4PM. If you don't have a player card and pay extra for a VIP pass then they make you wait on their preferred customers who go 1st. Avoid if you are a 1st time customer. I prepaid and thought check-in would be a breeze. WRONG!

First off. I paid 170 for a place that had one vending machine for drinks for over 100 customers. Theres nothing convient and it should be a motel 8 for 65 a night. I had to stay on the old side of the resort. Terrible. Reminded me of a motel and felt like it was for prostitution and drug addicts.
