Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights for a school shopping trip with grandson, son and daughter in law. Upon entering room for my grandson and I it looked as if cleaning staff just did bare minimum. Dressers and nightstands were “sticky”, smudges on mirrors, heat registers very dirty- so instead of complaining I took disinfectant wipes and cleaned surfaces. That said, when showering that evening, I noticed mold and mildew on the shower curtains, which is not something cleaning staff should overlook. Then when my grandson put the air conditioner on, we smelled a musty odor from that. I decided my grandson and I would just stay the 2nd night in my son and daughter in law’s room. So I went in the office to tell them the room was too dirty, and I was not willing to stay in it a second night, the woman was very rude and unsympathetic even after I offered to show her. Her response was “you can leave.” Not a response one would expect from a motel or hotel employee. Not professional whatsoever. So my grandson and I stayed in my son’s room which inconvenienced all. A gentleman from the property knocked on my son’s door and offered to wash the shower curtain—What?! We had no words! At that point I was embarrassed and in tears. I did request a refund just for the 1st room - woman in office said I stayed 2nd night Guess she doesn’t understand I did not stay in that room a second night. I spoke to an Expedia agent who was kind and helpful.
