I booked a room it showed a picture of a Governors suite with a full Kitchen, and there was none. The first room they gave me was a queen room with no microwave. I had to go to the desk and tell them I booked a Govenors suite with a full kitchen. They told me they don't have any, those are only at extended stay hotels. They claimed Travelocity falsely offered it. I had no room service, if I needed linen,I was told to bring mine down and they would replace it. On the second day, I asked if they could empty the trash and re-stock every thing. By the time I got back that evening, nothing was done. I had to go to the desk and complain, then they sent a maid to do it. My trash cans were so full I was going to dump them in the hall if they didn't do their job. I will never stay at a Red Lion again. The advertised breakfast buffet was nothing but cereal, muffins,banana's, apples, bagels coffee, and juice...WOW. NOT WHAT I PAID FOR :( :(

Moldy druggies

The facility is rundown and shabby. The paint is peeling throughout. Stickers cover scratches in the mirrors in the elevators. There is a smell of mold in the rooms. The parking garage had someone casing cars when I was there. The facility is surrounded by trash, homeless people, and druggies. The bed had a sag in the middle and the sheets were scratchy. I will never stay at this facility again.

First, we had to change rooms because the television wasn't working properly, the remote was faulty. Then the new room had a lamp i couldnt turn off without unplugging from the wall and there was no hot water.

Chose for walkable location near capital. Good food nearby. So much for the good… This place was rough. 1986 dorm furniture.stained. Chips in walls. Peeling paint in bathroom. Cracks in shower. Shower leaked and dripped. Bubbled pop corn ceiling from leaks. I arrived at 4:15,my room wasn't ready til 6pm. During the evening I went to my car and found a prowler casing cars. No security was present and homeless sleep along the side of the building. Loading dock and truck noise starts about 5:15 am. One ofthefront doors was not functioning. My room key failed. Brutal stay.

This property has had a new owner for yrs, if your going to buy a hotel that was once a great place to stay. But now seems quite run down, paint coming off room walls, plug in covers barely hanging on. Musty smelling, lobby that once looked great, looks quite boring now, etc

Conveniently located; reasonably priced; great staff. My only criticism is that the room could have been cleaned a little better; the bathtub was not clean; I found an (almost) empty sushi dinner box behind the table by the bed.

Insecure building in a not-particularly-good part of town. Back door to the lobby unlocked (the door would not even close). Toliet in the room worked, barely. Sheets were the wrong size and we had to get a 2nd set for the 2nd (of two night's) stay. They did server "breakfast", after a fasion but the "dinning" area (looked like an old bar) was so cold all we could do is grab some food and coffee and head back to our room to eat. This actually is a very old, and poorly maintained, building with a "Red Lion" banner hung from the outside. Too bad they closed the old Red Lion (somewhat west of the Capitol Building) -- We stayed at the prior location several times -- it was nice .....

If you are looking for an affordable place to stay, this is a good option. Very centrally-located, this hotel had its day and is in dire need of a deep renovation. That being said, if you can live with dings in the walls and peeling paint, it is a fantastic value. The bed was comfortable, the temperature was comfortable, it was clean, and I got a good nights' sleep. My shower did have some temperature issues (hot was cold, cold was hot on the handle, and then the shower itself kept oscillating between the two temperatures which I informed the staff about when leaving). I even got a decent light breakfast on the way out and the coffee was good. I would stay here again.

Hotel needs a lot of work

Hotel was in a good location for walking to restaurants and the Washington Performing Arts Center but unfortunately has not been taken care of. The building was very run down throughout- all the furniture in the lobby and room was scuffed/damaged, stains on all the rugs/carpets, curtains missing hooks, piles of garbage (row boat, mattress, etc) in the parking lot. The room seemed clean- bedding and towel in good condition but they had tried to paint the bathtub with regular paint so it was peeling and did not seem usable.
