This quaint motel is a gem,nice rooms with different up north themes,clean as a whistle.The owners Tony and Nou were awesome, so friendly and accommodating, they even have a bonfire for the guest at night.There's also a beach access across the street which is awesome. Myself and my wife stayed for 3nights,wish it could've been longer.Hope we get to return again some day.Highly recommend!! Brent and Faith

Wonderful little motel. Very nice couple who run the place, now in their 5th season of ownership. Extremely friendly. Absolutely perfect personality to operate this type of business. Would certainly recommend!

Sunshine Motels was a great place to stay. The owners are very friendly. The private beach access was a big plus. The room was clean and very nice. I would definitely stay there again.

The owners are investing the heart and soul into the motel. They have remodeled the rooms and the exterior of the buildings. Everything was clean and well taken care of. We loved the added whimsical touches on their walkway to Lake Superior. We will stay at Sunshine the next time I travel to the UP, and will recommend it to my friends and family.

We loved our stay at the Sunshine Motel & Cabins. Super clean, cute room & owners were super friendly! Great location across the street from Lake Superior with a private beach & close drive to Porcupine Mountain State Park for some awesome hiking! Hope to make it back!

Such a cute little spot to stay just outside of town. The owners really love this place and it shows. The room was super tidy and clean and had everything a chain hotel would have. The bathroom light/fan combo is a little jarring so maybe bring a small nightlight. The path leading to the beach was ADORABLE! A cute little trellis and a fairy garden stump to add some magic!

We have never stayed here before but the staff was really friendly upon check in and was even willing to accommodate us if we needed another night...they gave us a little map of area dining and it was just a short walk across the road to the beachfront. I would highly recommend this property plus the rooms were so rustic and cute...Loved it

Wonderful overnight stay - access to a huge stretch of Lake Superior sandy beach. Cute, clean, comfortable room, perfect for this very well-maintained vintage motel. It is clear the owners take pride in the property and care about their guests. They are wonderful and super kind and friendly. They host gathering at the fire ring each night, weather permitting. A great way to get to know the other travelers and the owners. An excellent experience.

The owners were so friendly and accommodating! You must access the lake from their path across the road! They have a beautiful arch with lights leading all the way down. The stars & moon were stunning over the lake the night we stayed. It’s not a fancy hotel, but clean & quaint. (Bed was pretty comfy too!)
