We stay in the Orlando area twice a year. We usually book 3 star hotels. I decided to splurge and book a nicer hotel this time. This was a perfectly lovely hotel, but it was not worth paying more than double what I normally pay. The room was functional but dated. The property offered amenities (mini golf, outdoor checkers and chess), but they were falling apart. I also thought that it was odd that the doors opened to the outside. I feel safer when we stay in a room that is inside the hotel, but all rooms seemed to be open to the outside, like a motel. There was a walking path to SeaWorld, which is nice, but it left a wide open area at the back of the hotel, which could be a safety issue. I will say that the staff was exceptional, much like I would expect when I stay at a nicer hotel. We had a good time, but I wouldn't stay again. I will stay at the midlevel places and have just as good a time.
