Have no alarm clock, no microwave, flat shower valve, it's hard to pull with finger nail. My wife could not pull out at all. After 2 nights, we stepped by asking the office lady, Ana about clock, microwave...She was so rude, yelled at me, talked so fast like attacking. All I said to her to keep quite, no need to yell at traveler. Stay away for kind attitude!

We booked a room for March 13 to 16th as we have done every time we'd visit Palm Springs. We always enjoyed our stays here in the past but this time was a completely different experience. It first started with check in which took about 20 min because there was only one person checking in a huge line. No biggie, but wouldve been helpful for the poor woman working solo. I requested a room on the second floor but it was pretty packed so we were assigned a room on the first floor that was unfortunately right next to a room that was being renovated. So no chance to relax after check in with construction noise happening all afternoon. Cable wasnt working so we couldnt turn the volume up to help drown out that noise. The room was very worn down, dirty, holes in the walls and missing or broken outlet plates. Grout missing in the tile bath floor, broken/chipped laminate flooring that they tried to fix with glue. The worse part was the bed which bowed and sank toward the middle. I threw out my back after 1 night of sleep here that we decided to just leave. The manager Jose called me the next morning to ask where we had gone, i explained everything and how unhappy we were. He was apologetic and offered a refund for the two nights we werent staying. I told him i really appreciated that offer. He said we'd get a refund within 3 to 5 business days. Well its been over 6 weeks now and still no refund. I think thats pretty messed up to offer that and then rescind it. We will not be returning.

The person at reception was efficient but too business-like. This is the hospitality business. Employees who interact with the customers should be trained to project warmth. Not over-the-top phoniness, just warmth. The rooms were clean and well-prepared, with ironing board and hair dryer conveniently located, but the rugs were worn and some wallpaper was peeling. The worst problem was the shower handle. The plate that secures the handle to the wall was unscrewed, so the handle was upside down and wobbly. I got it to work, but this should never happen and suggests that the property needs to have a better maintenance inspection regime. The motel was okay for a one night stay, but I wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay.

The room was not clean. There was a rust stain on the carpet, one of the pillow cases was dirty. The door was drafty and difficult to latch. Staff was unavailable. Three times I tried accessing the office for assistance and each time the door was locked and a sign was up. The third time a staff member was inside the office and ignored my knocking. Really un-kept-up-with, aggravating place to stay. Avoid it.

Love the place because of the reef restaurant, staff was ok asked for extra towels for pool and never received. There was no shampoo and conditioner, or body soap in the shower containers

Good for a short stay

We had a two night stay from Friday-Sunday. Customer service was very good. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were very firm. I like when hotels offer two different types of pillows. The rooms need a bit of updating, especially the carpeting. We had a problem the first night with not having hot water. My husband went to the front office and maintenance came to our room immediately which we really appreciated. The biggest problem for us was the noise from the pool. All the rooms surround the pool so you can’t get away from the noise. We had to be up at 5am every morning and the yelling and screaming from the pool until almost midnight kept us up. It seems there is no one to enforce rules for use of the pool.

Motel, Not Hotel

The hotel was a great example of "you get what you pay for..." While I loved the authenticity of the hotel and its Tiki theme, this place is in need of some major upgrades to keep it going. The heated pool and powerful spa were great, and the highlight of the hotel. However, the rooms felt drab and dirty, and we arrived to no hot water and a leaking toilet. The walls had visible dirt and the carpet was torn in places. The front desk staff were really polite and nice, but the bartender in the poolside bar was quite nonchalant about service and seemed more interested in feeding himself since it took nearly 45 minutes to get our fried food as he clearly forgot we ordered it. Nonetheless, parking was easy, had a couple ok restaurants to eat at, but like everywhere else, all overpriced.

This is an older property. Frankly, we were charged too much for the accommodations that we received-- more than $700 for three nights. The A/C unit was so NOISY, but it did act like white noise to drown out the noise/music coming from the nearby pool area. The inside of the mini refrigerator had not been cleaned, and there were crumbs (fried chicken coating?) on the shelf.
