Going to start by saying we got the room because a potential hurricane was to hit the next morning. We booked a room with jacuzzi. Upon arrival we were informed that the room type we requested and paid for was not available due to housekeeping not having to work because of the hurricane. We would have been more understanding but the same room type was available the night before, however we decided to arrive a day later. So we were downgraded, free of charge. And person on duty had to email the manager to discuss the difference in price between the room we booked and the room we occupied. (Still waiting on the response to that email, btw) Finally, about to get the room key to our standard room WITHOUT jacuzzi, after paying for the room plus taxes and fees online. I was hit with a security deposit. So I was informed we won't be getting the keys until the deposit requirements were met. This would have been understandable, however the difference in price between what we paid for vs the room we were getting would have covered said deposit. Overcoming the check in obstacles we entered first room we were supposed to stay in. To find the bed broken, kitchen cabinet doors off the hinges and broken, holes in the walls and doors, the poo fan in the bathroom hanging out of the ceiling and the aroma of fresh sewage strong in the air. From the balcony an absolutely beautiful view
