I picked Travelodge because it generally has a good reputation. But when I got to my room the first night, it was a disaster. I got in late, after 11pm and was exhausted so I didn’t request a room change until the next morning. But when I got to my room, it was disgusting. There were dead bugs on the floor all over, the TV didn’t work, there was something in the shower drain that I didn’t even want to know what it was. There was what looked like cigarette ash spread all over the place and the floor was so sticky I never even took my shoes off. It looked like the only thing that was clean was the bed. The very next morning I went down to the office and asked the front desk person if someone could clean the room and they said yes. When I got back later that day, my key card wasn’t working. Eventually they got me in my room and I found that my room had not been cleaned. When they sent the manager over to give me a new key card, I told him how gross the room was and asked if he had a clean room I could transfer to. The manager was very kind and got me a transfer to a much cleaner room. But unfortunately, we still had an issue with my key card. Even the managers master key wasn’t working and they had to reprogram it. That was not their fault and they were very nice about it. I appreciate them being kind and letting me transfer rooms, but that first room gave me a bad first impression
Without a doubt the worst experience ever, had to go to 4 different rooms before finally getting one that didn’t stink . Is hard to believe that it’s actually part of the chain
Horrible place, it was full of roaches, it was dirty, pillowcases had blood stains, floor was dirty, headboard had something stuck, please don't stay here. you will have a really bad experience. I felt scared and afraid for my life.
Horrific place
Firstly, we had NO idea that Travelodge and Red Roof Inn are apparently one and the same. We paid for a room at Travelodge but were checked in to a room at Red Roof Inn without anything being mentioned us. Upon realizing this, we went to speak with the front desk people who were extremely rude, abrupt and abrasive. The room was dirty, the toilet was clogged, no towels in the bathroom, poor reception on the television just to name a few. They refused to give us another room, instead sent maintenance to repair the toilet and give us towels. Although it was for one night, I will never stay at another Red Roof Inn/ Travelodge or whatever it was! Terrible customer service.

This place was utterly ridiculous. It was Me , my daughter (15yrs old) and my son ( 11 months old ) when we first got there , Whitney at the front desk was very nice. Gave us a key to go and check three rooms before we agreed to stay all three rooms smelled bad And two rooms were very hot. The AC did not work. but one room did have working AC, but the curtains were ripped off the window. So I went back to the front desk, asked her if she had anything else she gave me another room. I went back up to that room. The AC was all right, but it was still hot in the room, because the AC unit would not get cold enough to take a shower to cool down and started seeing roaches come out from everywhere . My daughter was very uncomfortable and my son was not staying in a room that was infested with bugs so I went back down to the front office told them that I wanted a refund and Whitney was very sweet and kind about it and refunded me and checked me out very quickly. I don’t think that this hotel should be,d for anyone to stay in because it is definitely not up to code.
The room smells, the towels look like someone worked on their vehicle and then wipe their hands so there’s grease stains on the towel but the towels look clean. The smoke detector is hanging. The beds look clean and comfortable.
Heater in room didn’t have knobs to turn it on. TV had terrible reception. Didn’t know Travel Lodge was part of Red Roof property, no signage, hard to find. Entry was dirty, floor had not been swept.
There was nothing good I can say about this property! There was old vomit on the stairs along with pieces of pizza and who knows what else!!! The room was dirty and had an awkward smell. The whole property was run down. Obviously the owners have not done anything for many years to keep up with the necessities of the property. We did not feel safe staying there as the door had been kicked in on the bottom of the door which left a small crack. To be honest in all my years of traveling, I have never come across a property that had been so neglected to such a degree, to let it be unsave for travelers!
