Great Location
River Retreat is a great secluded location with beautiful gardens, river views and access. The apartment is cute, and provides everything needed. The only negative was cleanliness. I am meticulous, and it was not up to my standard. Also, there were many bugs inside, after killing these, we did our best not to let any more in. I understand it is difficult to keep them out being by the river, when going in and out the door. Power washing the outside under the porch roof might help. Otherwise, we enjoyed the location very much.

Peaceful spot by the Delaware River
A real Zen property a few feet from the water’s edge. Watch the water flow by while you sip your tea. Bring your bikes for the lengthy bike trail running along the river, and just a few hundred feet away.

Great weekend retreat
Located right on the Delaware, with a deck that overlooked the peaceful waters and some quacking ducks - this was a very tranquil and rejuvenating experience for me. Just a short drive away are two townships, Lambertville and New Hope (on the PA side) that are known for their beauty and quaint (old and classy) feel. And so many trails all around to walk or bike or explore. And did I mention Peddler's Village is not too far away, either

Very quiet
We enjoyed our stay. There were some ants in the bathroom and one bed had very sour linens. Luckily, there were clean sheets in the cabinet and we changed them and were good to go. Stuart was very nice and quick to communicate and un-intrusive. We would stay there again.

Wonderful!
We really enjoyed this VRBO. We came to run a 5K in the area. Fantastic location, close to Peddlers Village, Lambertville, Frenchtown and New Hope. The rental was so lovely. A very relaxing porch facing the Delaware river. The place is so charming! Such interesting attention to detail in the way that it is decorated. The hosts were very helpful in connecting us with good places to eat. We did not have time to take advantage of all of the places to hike. We plan on coming back. Truly lovely.

Quiet, peaceful, exceptional river views. Accurate description and comfortable space including room for adult kids to come and go. Hosts were attentive, accommodating and helpful. I would stay here again. It’s a bit distant from small towns for restaurants and shopping.

Hidden gem with a beautiful view and close driving to attractions.
So glad I chose Stuart's apartment, it was perfect for our weekend wedding. Scenic Delaware Rive drive to get there then enjoy the same view from the porch. It is just like the pictures. Local restaurants nearby as well as Peddlers Village, the New Hope Railroad, the quaint towns of Stockton, NJ and New Hope, Pa. Stuart was always available by phone and we did meet him in person. All of our comforts were met. Highly recommend River Retreat !

Wonderful River Retreat
Perfect spot on the Delaware River to celebrate my birthday and kayak and raft several laps on the Tohickon Creek whitewater release. Also rode our bikes to New Hope. House had everything we needed for an enjoyable 3 day weekend.

The place was just like it shows. Very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. It was a surprise to find coffee and tea there which was nice to have to not worry about going out to get since our visit was a short weekend stay.

My family and I enjoyed this place so much the silence the kindest of the owner the view well is a very beautiful place. And the surroundings towns are great we went to Paddlers Village with the kids is very nice. Thank You Stuart for having us.

Great Location, But:
We had to spend the first evening cleaning the refrigerator and bathroom black mold. . The house needs a good cleaning in general. It looks like the cleaning fee we paid has been pocketed by the owner as the spaces under the furniture and kitchen cabinets hoses various items from food to game pieces. Only half of the paper towel roll provided. We would not recommend this place.

Great spot.
Great spot to relax and watch the river. Close to many wonderful small towns and restaurants. We used the place as a base for adventure. Kayaking in the Delaware river and biking on the canal trail.

We had a wonderful stay for 3 nights, enjoying the tranquility and scenery. Return visit was even better than the first time. Stuart is always available if you have any questions or need anything. Great view of the river from the covered porch. Recommend Cravings in town for a good sandwich and ice cream. Will happily come again.

4/5 stay…..If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay for a quiet vacation this place is for you. Closest towns are around 20 minutes away and you’re right at the River front with a nice view and access to the river. On the other hand, one thing to be mindful of it the amount of bugs on and around the property!! When we first arrived we we confused as to where the entrance was and all the windows on the first floor(the location of the rental) were open! There were spider webs everywhere among the house and the entrance doorway had a new spiderweb across it every morning/night. We found multiple insects inside the house and it made it uncomfortable to sleep. The table was also horrendously dirty when we wiped it down. And water took a while to heat up. We also had trouble with the AC. At first we thought most of the issues were because we were one of the first people in a while but there were guests the morning we arrived at apartment. It was a quiet area and we enjoyed the stay as much as we could but I have to be honest I’m not sure if I’d stay again.

Laid back river retreat
A very beautiful lower apartment right on the Delaware river. Went away for a girls trip to relax and enjoy the Newhope Lambertville area. It was perfect for us and didn’t need anything fancy. A little bit farther from town then we guessed but it ended up working out because the evenings were much quieter. Really lovely stay thank you!
