Rooms are quiet, location great, is a good place for just the basics when traveling. Only feedback is we had to clean out food from the last guests in the fridge. Did not feel like they did a thorough room clean before we checked in.

Rooms were sort of gross. Carpets were damp and couldn't get the humidity out of the rooms. Antiquated computer system. Internet was down and we couldn't check in. I said to just assign us rooms manually and we would come back later. Said they didn't know which rooms were clean (aren't there workers who would know that???) They couldn't charge snacks to my room and couldn't even print out a receipt. They said I would get all my transactions on the receipt (whatever that means!). We stayed 3 nights and the beds weren't made up. Don't know if the rooms were even cleaned.

The stay was great, as always. The only downside to this stay was that housekeeping knocked on our door and woke us up at 900 in the morning to clean the room. We didn't get in until late, and there was no "do not disturb" sign to hang on the door. After we let them know that we were still in the room, they came back again at 945 and 1015 to see if we were still there. It made us feel like they were rushing us to leave so that they could get done cleaning, like it was more important to them than our rest. It made us tired for our drive home.

Excellent Hotel with Excellent staff
The Fairfield Inn of Sandusky is an excellent hotel. The staff is courteous and professional. I enjoyed every aspect of my stay and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area

the room smelled like mold and it was such a strong scent we were very uncomfortable. it also smelled like wet rag and we noticed there were cracks on the ceiling. definitely not worth the price we paid. Expedia website did not advertise the rating correctly. They stated it was a 4.0 rating which is why we booked it but when I looked up the hotel rating it said 2.8. Very disappointed

Worst Comfort Inn Stay Ever
Hotel needs to be updated. The double beds where hard. Room very dark. I don't think the floor was vacuumed. The hallway smelled like weed. Bathroom was ok. In the corner between the door and bathtub looked like the start of mold starting. Overall, the hotel was not clean. Will never stay here again.

The area was about 10 min from Cedar Pointe but the property was dated. The bed was not comfortable needs replaced. Cracks in the wall and bathroom caulking was moldy and old.

Best managed hotel that I have been to. 3 helpful staff for check in, everything was clean and breakfast was well stocked. Everything was convenient including the ice machines , swimming pool areas were very nice, hotel bathrooms very clean and every time we needed anything, the staff was very helpful.

Good but some cons
The places was really nice. When you first walked in they will greet you with nice and welcoming employees. The check in was easy and fast. But problem is that when you first enter the room it smells really bad, smells like cigarettes. The room that I was staying at has no Bible, and some of the lights can’t be open. Another problem is that the bathroom door doesn’t lock or the lock doesn’t get into the hole no matter how hard you push the door to lock.
