The location of this hotel is perfect for Carpinteria or at a pinch Santa Barbara and although it is beside the freeway you don't notice it. The building is attractive. I didn't go to the restaurant or use the gym or small pool so I can't comment on the facilities. The main downside is poor sound proofing indoors. I heard every step the couple in the room above me took, and noise from my (ground) floor too. I stay in hotels a lot and this is never usually a problem. The staff were polite. I'd stay again because of the location, but would hope to get a quieter room.

My issue with this property was lack of comfort. The room was very small and cramped. It was located on the ground floor adjacent to the lobby and an exit door. there was constant noise coming from people in the lobby and guests coming and going thru the exit door. I never had a good night's sleep.

This is a lovely property. Had been here before, but not for a while. I really, really needed the rest…so that’s all I did..,bed is great, and I enjoyed the late check out. Lovely view of the courtyard below. Loved the rustic look of the room ceiling. Next time I’ll try to enjoy the pool and restaurant there.
