The bathroom tub had marks and the hot water pipe made a banging sound when in use. On entering, the room was freezing and thermostat did not work. The maintenance person had to change the filter and reset the thermostat.

The air conditioner was loud and rattled. When we looked at it there was mold on the vents. The room smelled musty. The sheets on the bed were damp. When we arrived to check in there were over a hundred people waiting for the elevator. A fireworks show had just ended and everyone arrived back at the hotel at the same time. The hotel closed the stairs (for construction was the reason given) so everyone had to wait for the elevators. We waited about 40 minutes to get to our room after we checked in because of the lineup at the elevators. The staff did move us to a new room after we told them about the issues. The new room was ok but it was dated and felt worn down. We will look elsewhere next time we need a hotel in downtown Saskatoon.
