"The Gonville is a beautiful hotel. Centrally located in Cambridge, it has a mixture of elegance and style. The rooms are very unique and brings back that feel of what UK hotels are renowned for. "This is a really beautifully kept and charming pub hotel. We had a room on the 2nd floor (i believe) with a view of the street. As a 17th century building it does have slightly steep stairs and some quaint low doorframes. We stayed for one night but I'd be happy to stay there for more than that if I'm in the area again. The pictures of the room were accurate. It was warm in winter even though heating was off. It was well kept and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the ensuite bathroom brand new and very clean (the gents in the pub downstairs a slightly different story! But the pub itself was very nice). - Doors at the rear are left open should you want to come back in late at night. - Breakfast was a generous full English. - The room also had a kettle with some complementary tea and coffee sachets, and there was also a decent hair drier. - Parking might be a touch limited if you arrive at the wrong time as it seems to be shared with pub customers but you might he able to find somewhere nearby in a pinch. "

"The service was amazing, the complimentary room upgrade and drink was a lovely surprise for our anniversary and we are very grateful! We would definitely recommend staying here and we will be back. Only one negative was we found a sealed new packet of cigarettes in the bed side table and there was a beer bottle on the balcony with cigarette buts in but other than that everything was clean and tidy."
