Good hotel with nice amenities. A little out-of-the-way location but very easy to access the subway. There are a few places nearby to eat and close convenience stores. The breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of choices for Western and Japanese palates. The rooms were efficient, but very tiny. I would compare it to a small cruise ship room. They serve their purpose. The downside was the lack of air conditioning. It was excruciatingly hot in Tokyo while we were there and the only area kept airconditioned was the downstairs lobby. The hallways and rooms were not kept cool. It was hard coming in after a long day to a sweltering hotel and then waiting for our room to cool off once inside. Also, it never really cooled well. After our room cooled, it was better, but we had warm nights and it never got fully comfortable. Overall, nice clean room, friendly staff, an adequate location, fantastic breakfast, but not being able to completely cool off after such hot days makes me want to look elsewhere in the future.
Overall worst stay in Japan. AC barely worked and the shower vent broke and fell on my head in shower(had been taped on). Room was dirty and hot…, but the room was like $60 bucks so I guess that’s what you get in Tokyo for 60 bones
Right next to the Subway. Perfect place to stay. Clean and has a spa and coin laundry. An added plus was they will hold on for your bags while you go do some sightseeing before or after your stay.
This hotel is very close to the nearest staion, so it wasnt too bad with the big suit case.
There are coin laundry inside the hotel.
They also have a public hot spring bath free for guests.
Provides water bottle for each guests.
It was okay. Nothing to write home about. The bathroom was stained from previous uses and the “eco friendly” feels more like the hotel just wants to save money than save the environment.
The hotel is right by the train station exit with the elevator, which itself was 5 stars by me. APA hotel is a business hotel, so I knew rooms would be small, though.
This APA hotel has a public hot spring (onsen) bath on the top floor, which is excellent to relax our body and feet after walking around a lot. I saw some tourists, families, and business folks in the hotel.
The hotel room was carpeted, and anything that fell did get stuck onto the carpet easily (it was not cleanest carpet).
Other than that, the front desk can keep our luggage after checkout for free, which we appreciated (considering how quickly locker rooms get occupied at Shinagawa station nearby).
Breakfast had variety of food and tasted decent (not so mind blowing level compared to Japanese bed& breakfast hotels, etc).
The area surrounding hotel is being built (lots of construction work). But it’s very convenient right beside a train stop. I booked it because of the price and convenience of direct train to Haneda. Nearby is a ramen shop, other eateries and small convenient store. Hotel has a Japanese onsen which is a bit of a bonus. Less keen that the rooms are linked by a walkway, rather than an enclosed corridor. This means no air condition between elevator and room.
