Decent enough
Comfortable stay but lacked attention to detail. Just one towel between two of us, tv remote missing a battery cover, stuck together with selotape, shower spraying straight into bathroom, only one pillow each. Admittedly we didn't ask to have any of these remedied, which I'm sure they would have, but left a poor first impression.

Great overnight stay, the staff are brilliant, the food was lovely and the all around ambience was relaxing and beautiful. Loved every minute, the hotel is great and would thoroughly recommend them. Book with them directly rather than a third party the staff are very welcoming and friendly and will help you with anything that you need.

Dirty room and awful food.
Stayed as a family of 3 after a very long flight back to Heathrow. Staff were friendly enough and the location is easy to get to but the room was dirty with so much dust and cobwebs everywhere. The shower leaked all over the floor. The in room phone was barely audible when talking on. Bedside lamp broken. Ordered room service which took nearly an hour to arrive, when it did the order was wrong and the food was barely edible. Cod was full of bones and totally over cooked, beef brisket was actually inedible, could barely cut it, let alone eat it, was more like the beef had just been microwaved. Hard to believe this is a 4 star hotel, would definitely not recommend staying here.

very pleasant Hotel with a comfortable room, was only a quick stop over so not able to make full use of the Hotel. Would be more than happy to stay again, breakfast was of a good standard with polite staff.

The room smelt stale as did the bed sheets, pillows etc. Myself and my wife had bites on our bodies which must have come from the bed. The bathroom was poor witha loose toliet seat and was overall grubby and not very good at all.

Very Disappointing
Room 6 , Bathroom; It has a non-working, hanging out of the wall, towel rail that we didn't dare touch in case it fell out completely, the room was REALLY cold - but it had a freestanding, plug in radiator placed in there ! there is, of course, no socket within the bathroom the nearest was the other side of the bedroom, so a totally pointless exercise. The pale, non blackout blind in there allowed the spotlights to flood in (it also probably gives no privacy when using the loo which is right in front of the window) having to close the door re the floodlights meant it stayed very cold . Loo roll holders fixings loose, magnifying mirror unadjustable . Large area of old repair by the door undecorated. Bedroom: Used water glass complete with tablet sediment bottom & up side left as "clean", tray dirty with soiled coasters. New carpet - however the door now has a 2 finger+ gap all the way under it, "rising butt hinges" anyone ?? this gap allowed all the corridor noise & the regular loud slamming of a staff door to disturb us till 11.30pm ish as well as the draught. Very large water stain on ceiling, traffic noise not much reduced by (I had to check it was in fact double ) the glazing - an improvement of both windows wouldn't go amiss. Housekeeping admitted most of the above has been mentioned before with them "passing to management " the feedback /complaints - so why did we still get 2nd rate accommodation for our £163 - a good breakfast/ friendly staff only plus points.

Stayed one night. Chose this hotel for its convenient location, between Oxford and Windsor. Reasonably priced so didn’t expect luxury. Basic rooms and acceptable food options. Rooms could have had heating on prior to our arrival, but warmed up quickly once adjusted.
