This is a lovely hotel. The staff was excellent the place is immaculate and the room was perfect. I felt safe and the room was very very quiet even though I was near the elevator. Had a small problem with one of the lights and they came up immediately and fixed it. Easy check in and easy check out

Honest review from a real guest
First, i would like to say that there are not enough real reviews which skews the rating- def NOT deserving of 8.2 out of 10. Its not a terrible hotel, but My review is honest and factual. Overall, my stay was as expected considering the status rate i paid and thanks to other real reviews that pointed out down-sides…i will add that i agree with other negative reviews in regards to the conditions of the rooms and the tired exterior (as pictured) and that Hilton brand usually does better. Front desk Service and housekeeping was slightly below average for Hilton standards. Ie: Cookies weren’t offered at check-in and when i called the following day, i got excuses as to why there weren’t any cookies. It’s Doubletree’s signature thing to offer warm cookies all Day-so they need to follow through with that and have a back-up plan if the oven breaks…not a big deal about the cookies its how the front desk handle themselves when i called. My room wasn’t properly cleaned either. I wonder if it was vacuumed because there was a sock on the floor next to the bed(see photos) Housekeeping is just not thorough. The balcony was big, but the sliding doors are probably 40 years old, heavy, and loud. Having a balcony facing the rear also encounters noise from the pool if thats a concern. Also, people tend to smoke marijuana or cigarettes on the balconies. I smelled marijuana but didn’t bother to alert anyone after my experiences with front desk. My best advice is to look at my photos. Good luck

Upon arriving the staff at the front desk was extremely nice I believe his name was Terry and another gentleman. However, while checking out the staff did not say anything to us while we were walking out with our bags. I’m not sure if it was because we were black individuals. Very sad.
