I stayed on the second floor this particular visit and the floor stunk like marijuana, the room did not so it did not bother me but, not the most pleasant smell. Hotel can use some TLC but, it's in a good location and the staff is very helpful.

Chicago Willowbrooke Laquinta location: There was a big crack under our door in which you can see straight in the room from the hallway if you bent down, pubic hair was in the shower, holes in sheets on both beds, cobwebs in the corners of the room. Oh and they had a broken iron board that fell apart when we tried to open it to iron our clothes. And the front desk staff was extremely rude and had the worst attitude I have ever experienced at a Laquinta. The desk clerk from the overnight shift told us that we can have a late check out for 12 noon and anything after 12 noon would be a fee but the next morning we received a knock at the door saying it’s time for checkout and we explained that we requested late checkout and the person at the door tried to tell us that late checkout is 1130 and anything after that is a $20 fee but when we would not agree he then got an attitude and stated okay ma’am I am not charging you so I asked for a receipt to show that my deposit would be returned onto my card and he responded stating that I did not charge you ma’am but I can charge you and then give you a receipt. Just rude with no customer service.

Hotel staff lied, and didnt follow their own guidelines. Politely asked FOUR TIMES, across 5 hours to please have my room cleaned to the person behind the desk. Showed up that night. Room had not been touched. Terrible service with room cleanings, snd nonexistant breakfast.

La Quinta in Willowbrook did not honor the reservation through Expedia. Mgmt insisted I call and have Expedia confirm the reservation. We did that and they told Expedia they weren’t going to honor it. Why even make me go through the hassle of calling? Room was dirty. The sheets had holes in them. There was dirt caked on the walls in the bathroom in addition to the mirror over the sink. It needed a deep clean on top of junk customer service.

Horrible
Claim that they have had recent renovations but that’s not accurate. Hotel lobby and rooms were awful. Dirty rugs and sheets. Couldn’t stay there and sadly they couldn’t understand why. Had 2 rooms but they only refunded one. Never again Hotel.com tried but best they would do is offer a $25 credit for a future stay, like that’s gonna happen.

The hotel staff is rude, when arrived the guy at the front desk told me not to use expedia next time and that i should always go through the hotel itself. Little did i know they charged me almost 300$ worth for nothing, didnt say or tell me they were charging for anything. The hotel was already paid for in advance! Absolutely horrible cuatomer service. The hotel looked like it was run down and there is duct tape on the floors holding the carpet down and mold. Will not be going back to this location ever.
