Great Location, Super Basic Stay
The Anaheim Hotel’s biggest selling point is its unbeatable location—directly across the street from the Disneyland entrance. If proximity is your top priority, this place works. The grounds are nicely landscaped, the pool is large and inviting, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We also appreciated the fun mid-century modern touches, VERY comfortable beds, and secure parking. The property also felt safe.
That said, the hotel is basic and clearly older. While it appears well-maintained, our room had an overwhelming chemical smell (likely from frequent carpet cleanings) that didn’t improve even with the window open all day. I do not think this is typical nor in all the rooms, but it was unpleasant. We were offered another room, which was appreciated, but wasn’t worth the fuss. The bathroom has very bright lighting with no nightlight option, and you may hear some hallway noise, but nothing major. If you’re in the parks all day you will appreciate the comfortable beds.
If you’re aware that it’s basic and you just need a place to sleep between park days, this might suit your needs. The rates seem fair for what you get. Personally, I’d pay more to stay elsewhere next time, but the location truly can’t be beat.
