Beautiful 3-story log cabin vacation rental located in the Blue Ridge Mountains has all the luxurious features that you could ask for. Appalachian Dream is perfect for any size family (2-10 guests), multiple families, business travelers, and the honeymoon couple. With each level offering a large bedroom and bathroom, 3 families can spread out with ease. There are large color flat screen televisions with cable, DVD players, and ceiling fans in every room in the house and living areas for a total of 6. Free high speed WiFi is offered and unlimited local calls to those in need of keeping up with the outside world. Appalachian Dream has long range winter views from almost every window in the cabin. There is a short walk to a running waterfall stream, with hiking and sledding all around the area. The house also has central AC for your summer stay and a quiet heat pump to keep you comfortable in the winter. With all these amenities, why look anywhere else.


Main Level.: This amazing tri-level mountain getaway is named for its incredible amenities. The main level of the home is where you will find the full-service kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances and desirable eclectic décor. The main living area is located here and features a professionally decorated living and dining room, complete with comfortable furnishings, and dining for 10. The living room features an elegant sofa, love seat, and chair and is set around a hand stacked-stone gas log fire place and a 65' HD flat-screen television. This spacious room makes for a great area to relax with family and friends. The balcony door leads out to a large covered patio equipped with an outside dining area, 2 hand-carved rockers, and a Weber gas grill for barbequing. This main level also has a master suite with a comfortable king size bed, authentic quilt bedding and a whirlpool tub/shower.

Upstairs, Loft and Gameroom: Upstairs is another large master suite with a queen size bed, walk-in closet and full bathroom. There is a cozy loft which overlooks the living room area and is a great place to spread out, read or play games on the game table. The loft is furnished with a twin daybed, sofa, a 55’ television / DVD player, and many board games and puzzles for the kids. The lower level game room area has a regulation sized pool table, ping pong table, 50’ HD flat-screen television / DVD player, along with a pub style table with stools and L-shaped italian leather sofa surrounding all the action. The downstairs bedroom has two queen sized beds, dresser, and night stand with hand-made bedding, and a full bathroom with granite countertops. Enjoy the mountain ambiance to the fullest as you walk through the double French doors to a private 6-person heated hot tub Jacuzzi with an amazing mountain view. This additional deck has even more outside dining and additional seating.

Labor Day Getaway 2024
Took the parents for a much needed relaxing getaway. The house is big. We had plenty of space to spread out. The hot tub was awesome, as well as, the ping pong/pool table. Nice and helpful host. Will stay again.

I had bought tickets to Tweetsie earlier this year and decided to make it a long weekend trip. We all had a blast. Property was well located and great for our needs. The three floors worked great for us since there were 3 sets of families. Would definitely stay again!!

Mountain Treehouse
My large extended family vacationed at Appalachian Dream and loved everything about it. The owner, Mark was wonderful to work with and we spoke often before and during our stay. Sitting out on the balcony with my coffee each morning, felt like living in a treehouse. We wanted privacy from our busy city lives and we got it. The kids spent much of their day playing pool and ping pong and we couldn't get them out of the hot tub. The cabin was very clean and inviting and felt very much like home. You can't beat the central location. We rent cabins often and this is our new favorite one. We will definitely be back. Thank you Mark for your hospitality and for sharing your home with us.

Relaxing Retreat
A quick peaceful vacation is what we wanted and what we got at this beautiful well equipped cabin. The privacy of the trees and the sounds of the wildlife made it perfect. We even saw several deer. The owner was great to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. The kids (and adults) had a lot of fun playing in the game room area and soaking in the hot tub was a plus. Will definitely be back.

Family time
We enjoyed our time together but was somewhat disappointed. The description said a great view of grandfather mountain which couldnt be seen from the cabin due to over growth. We waited until the second day for hot tub to heat up and then the water smelled very musty even after adding the chlorine. Some of the dishes that were in the cabinets were dirty and had to be washed before we could use them. We grilled out one evening and the grill was filthy so it had to be cleaned as well before use. The toilet bowls were dirty where the water had been sitting. The owner saidbnobody had stayed there in a while but with our reservation don3 months ago, I would think a cleaner would go in before our arrival. The person that apparently does the cleaning left a can of dusting spray in the corner of the couch and there was a personal item (very personal) was left in a nightstand drawer. That was reported to the owner. We didnt report the rest to the owner because we were there already and just worked thru it. The owner lives away so maybe the issue is with the property manager. We did love the layout of the cabin and it worked great for the two families. We enjoyed going to several places while there and made some great memories and will return to the area again one day.

Family Cabin Weekend
We had a wonderful long weekend at this cabin! The host did a great job communicating and making us feel prepared. The cabin was cozy and plenty of room for 3 different couples. The kitchen is stocked well with supplies. We cooked every meal in. We brought both of our dogs and the area was perfect for walks in the morning. There is a cute waterfall you can walk to and it is very peaceful. Right down the road is Hawksnest Snow Tubing which was so much fun for adults and kids! We left our AirPods at the cabin after we checked out and the host shipped them back to us very quickly. That was just the cherry on top to a lovely weekend!

Christmas Retreat!!
Had a wonderful long weekend with family, for an early family Christmas. The cabin had everything we needed, with plenty of room to spread out. The young adults loved the down stairs area, pool table & hot tub. Had great weather for sightseeing, shopping, Christmas at Tweetsie (with our 1 1/2y.o. nephew), and the Alpine coaster. Fun house for the family!
We had a great time. We took advantage of the Jacuzzi, the pool table, cooked many meals (kitchen is very well stocked,except for muffin pan so it turned into a cake🙂). 3 levels, each with separate bedroom, full bathroom and adjacent living room. 6 big screen TVs and a nice push button fireplace with lots of heat. Amazing Stay at Appalachian Dream
This cabin was amazing. We ha a wonderful extended Thanksgiving weekend with our family. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need. The bedrooms had the most comfy beds. Every morning began with sunrise views from the porch and every evening ended with a hot tub wind-down. The highlight of the trip was the deer sightings. We saw them below the balcony and every day outside the front door. The town was nearby for convenience. We have memories to last forever and plan on returning.

A weekend getaway with family (2 Aunts, 1 Uncle, and a cousin). Great cabin to support a family of 7. Kids (age 10) loved the games, pool table, hot tub, and the mountain/ woods across the path to explore. Kitchen was well stocked for us to cook all our meals. Owner communicated well about the check-in process. Was responsive to my one need. Great location. Will need a 4WD in winter weather. Great cabin and great location. This cabin was just as a mountain cabin should be. It felt very private even though there are neighbors. It’s close to Boone, Banner Elk, Beech, Blowing Rock and Linville. My family really enjoyed our stay.

Family Thanksgiving with Pups
Property and area were fantastic. Cabin was the perfect size for our family and dogs, and the neighborhood was great. The cabin itself is a bit more rustic than others we've stayed at, but with the whole family and dogs we all felt it was perfect for the occassion. All of us really enjoyed our time, and we would book again.

We were looking to run away from home for the weekend.. this was just what we were looking for! Secluded yet quick drive to Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and many hiking trails. The cabin was comfortable for 2 but ideal for extra family or friends. We would certainly go back!

Wonderful Cabin in a Great Location!
Our family enjoyed this clean, spacious cabin which was centrally located near so many activities. Our college-age kids loved the downstairs game room and hot tub. The next time we visit this area, we would definitely like to stay here again!

Summertime Delight!
Upon entering this property, we felt as though the host had done everything possible to make his guests feel at home and to have resources needed to plan and participate in fun activities. Sanitation and safety were in top form. We loved the experience of grilling safely among the trees. Even more delightful were early mornings spent enjoying the hot tub as we watched the sun rise over the forest! The host was super responsive when we arrived at the wrong house and called him in a panic as the door key would not work! He got us on the right path right away which was such a relief! Additionally, he immediately responded when a question arose regarding a potential problem. He worked with me on the resolution so that it never became a problem at all! The entire experience was superb! I hope to be able to return to this beautiful house in the mountains again one day and to stay even longer!!!

Our family traveled to the Boone area for an extended weekend trip and found the cabin to be located perfectly in the middle of everything. My favorite was that in between planned activities I was able to find two separate trail heads within 10 minutes of the cabin.

Comfy but roomy
Loved it, very comfy. The game room was a welcome relief and multiple floors allowed us to spread out. The pool table is too close to the walls, so we were very concerned about our kids freely playing, lest a cue go through the wall! But loved the ping pong table/switch out and the additional tables on each floor for snacks or games. Great property. Only concern is the road to the property. If it were actually freezing weather, we would have had a lot of trouble getting up and down since we don't have snow tires or 4 wheel drive.
