Best location on the lake, steps from the water! Corner lot on Tecumseh Island. Kitchen is fully furnished. Located across the street from the Paradune Boat rental. Launch kayaks/canoes, go fishing, take walks, ride bikes, or just enjoy the surrounding lake views from the bridge right beside the home. A short walk from the Pew Island Trail; a one-mile path that encircles Pew Island and offers a spectacular view of Indian Lake. Pew Island also offers public parking, boat ramps, public docks, picnic areas with charcoal grills, and fishing access. Also less than 1 mile from the famed Cranberry Resort, lakefront bar/grill.

THINGS TO DO

Swimming –
There are two public swimming beaches, Old Field Beach and Fox Island. There are also four designated boat/swim areas, South and Little Walnut Isle, Hermit and Snow Island. There is also a boat & swim area located at Old Field Beach.

Boat Rental –
Across the street at Paradune, they offer pontoon rentals Thurs-Sun in season.
Spend-a-Day Boat Marina 9481 State Route 708, Orchard Island. Short drive from the house and a variety of boat types for rent 7 days/week.
Kayaks/Canoes can be launched at the bridge by the house.

Hiking & Bike Paths -
The Pew Island Trail is a one-mile path that encircles Pew Island and offers a spectacular view of Indian Lake. This is a short walk from the lake house. Pew Island also offers public parking, boat ramps, public docks, picnic areas with charcoal grills, and fishing access.
The Cherokee Trail is a three-mile easy walk through brushy habitat and is located west of the state campground.

A three and a half mile paved bike-way also open to hikers and joggers is located on the west and south banks between Old Field Beach and Paradise Point, Russells Point.

Fishing and Hunting -
Largemouth bass, saugeye, white bass, crappie, bluegill, walleye, yellow perch, and catfish are plentiful here. Walk out to the bridge to cast a line or try the Pew Island recreation area. Large wetlands known locally as the “game preserve” remain in the northeastern part of Indian Lake. Navigational channels have been cut through this area to allow boats. The wetlands provide a unique habitat for game fish, furbearers, waterfowl, and turtles. Hunting is permitted in designated areas only. A valid Ohio hunting and/or fishing license is required.

Cranberry Resort – Just a 2-minute drive from the lake house: Indoor/outdoor bar & grill w/ boat docking. Large menu with great food. Live music for the weekends in the summer. 9667 State Route 368; Closed most Mondays & Tuesdays

Woody’s – A short drive back out to the main road then make a right. Excellent food! Breakfast daily w/ a lunch buffet to follow. Full bar w/ a patio. Can’t be reached by boat. 7838 State Route 366. Russells Point, OH 43348.
Indian Head Road House – Full bar w/ wine. 20 beers on tap plus craft beers. Traditional bar fare, plus prime rib. 509 W Main St. Russells Point, OH.
Tilton Hilton – This place is literally tilted! Interesting after a few beers, to say the least. It’s also famous for its huge cheeseburgers. 10861 Township Rd. 293
Froggy’s - Featuring a swim up pool bar, live entertainment every Saturday, Sunday, and most holidays. Boat docking, pub food. 11065 County Rd. 293

Acheson’s Resort – Typical bar food, live music on weekends during the summer. “cash only” restaurant. 9053 Acheson Resort St.

Also, plenty of fast food and various pizza places scattered around the lake including McDonalds, Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, Subway. Lots of small diners over around Russells Point. Moose and Eagles nearby as well.
