Book a hotel near Ohio Statehouse, Downtown Columbus

"We booked a 1 night stay while in town for a concert at The Athenaeum Theatre, we were looking for something inexpensive, clean, safe, and close to our venue. The staff at check-in was great, he explained all the perks of the hotel and we got upgraded to a king suite which was a nice perk, but unfortunately we weren't there long enough to take advantage of the space. It was nice though, with a kitchenette area, couch, and TV...so it would be great for a longer trip! When we got back to the hotel after the concert we stopped at the bar/restaurant to order food and the bartender was wonderful, she was running everything solo but was very friendly and made sure everyone was getting what they needed. The food was quick and delicious. The room was very clean and quiet, it was nice not to hear people slamming doors and running around. My only complaint was that I thought the bed was a little too firm, but I'm also picky about mattresses and have a hard time sleeping away from my own bed, so that one's on me. We didn't get to take advantage of the drinks and snacks in the evening since we were out, but I would have loved to check that out. We left early in the morning but I was able to grab some fruit, biscuits, and juice for the ride home. The breakfast setup looked really nice and again, if we have more time, I would have taken advantage of that a little more. Overall my husband and I were happy with our stay and will add Drury to our list of places we'd stay at again!"
