I booked online and the ONLY part of the hotel that looked like the pictures is the pool room. Literally everything else was completely different from the front desk and breakfast area to the room we had. The room was clean but but absolutely was NOT what I thought I was getting compared to the pictures. The bed wasn’t even a hotel bed it was a metal frame on wheels and like a foot off the ground. Above all before I even booked I called the hotel and said “ hi I’m looking to book on Expedia and it says something about a deposit but doesn’t say how much so I was just calling to ask about that”. Made it clear I was booking with Expedia.. Who ever I talked to replied to me“Yes are you from the area?”(I said no I’m about a half hour away) she then said “Yes as long as your not from the area and your license doesn’t say your from Saginaw then it will be a 50 deposit but if you’re from here it will be 250”I then repeated” ok I’m from about a half hour away so I will have to pay a $50 deposit and I get that back when I check out?”Her reply was“ yes sir you will get your 50 deposit back upon checkout“With that being said upon check in the lady at the front desk was very rude to me just because I asked a couple questions.. and then she says “you do have to pay a 250 deposit”I informed her about the conversation I had over the phone and that I was told it would be a 50 deposit. She was very snotty about it and said”well like I said u have a 250 deposit” was very rude. Won’t be be back

Overbooking and overcharging issues
We booked four rooms three were supposed to be poolside, our rooms were overbooked after I confirmed them the weekend before. We ended up with only one room poolside they gave our other two rooms to somebody else. They did end up comping one of our rooms. But then they raised the price of our other two rooms. When I was there the weekend before they also had issues with overbooking other peoples rooms. The hot tub Was not up to temp and the water smelled really bad and it was a greenish color

When we checked in the staff was so friendly. The asked the reason for the visit and when we said shopping they gave us some great tips. We went to our room and I moved the pillow and there was some nasty boogers on the headboard. Hotel was full so the general manager came and cleaned it. She was friendly and apologized for the mess. You could hear the person walking upstairs. Breakfast bar was not tended to and lots of empty serving dishes. It was not one of the better Holiday Inns.

I stayed here this past weekend and had some issues with my room not being the one that I booked. I had booked a suite and arrived at 11:00 pm to be given a smaller room which would not fit the 5 people in our group. The way that hotel handled the situation was top notch. They provided us with an additional room that was connecting to the other room. They also gave us a discount for the mistake. This could have been a very bad experience but the hotel did a great job of fixing the mistake they made. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and had a decent free breakfast, I would definitely stay here again.

There was some confusion upon arrival. I'm still kind of confused on how I made reservations months ago and when I arrived the amount was NOT the amount displayed. So I was charged for one night, until the morning staff came in. Still confusion, so I just made another reservation. I believe my card was charged more than once. Hopefully not! The economy is bad enough. Can't afford to be overcharged.
